    On February 9, Park Bo Young appeared on the YouTube channel Fairy Jae Hyung, where she opened up about her close friendship with Kim Hee Won and how it led to unexpected rumors.

    Park Bo Young plays Yeong Ji, an ICU nurse, in the Disney+ original series Light Shop, which is based on a webtoon by Kang Full.

    The drama tells the story of a mysterious shop hidden in a dark alley, where customers with deep secrets come and go. It also marks Kim Hee Won’s first project as a director.

    When asked how she got involved in the drama, Park Bo Young revealed, “I’m really close with Kim Hee Won sunbae. We were so close that dating rumors started.”

    But instead of brushing it off, Kim Hee Won was so overwhelmed with guilt that he completely avoided contacting her for a year!

    She recalled, “He kept saying, ‘I feel so bad,’ and just disappeared. I was so mad and told him, ‘Do you really think our friendship is that weak?’”

    Despite the awkward moment, their friendship remained strong. Park Bo Young shared, “Everyone knew how close we were, so I told him to just move on. We still meet up often, have meals, and drink tea together.”

    She then revealed how she ended up starring in Lighting Store, saying, “One day, after eating, he suddenly handed me a book and said, ‘I’m directing this, just take a look. No pressure.’ But from that moment, I felt immense pressure! I thought, ‘Is this his way of saying I can’t say no?’”

    Fortunately, Park Bo Young was already a big fan of Kang Pool’s works, so she happily accepted the role. Fans are now excited to see her bring the beloved webtoon character to life!
