• IVE's Ahn Yujin Opens Up About Changing Choreography to Protect Young Fans: "Do I Really Need to Show Skin to Elementary School Kids?"

    IVE’s Ahn Yujin reveals how she changed the choreography to be more family-friendly, all because of her younger fans!

    On the 7th, IVE appeared on The Seasons - Lee Young Ji’s Rainbow, where they performed their latest hit, REBEL HEART. The girl group has been on fire, topping music charts with every release, and this performance was no exception.

    Even after the stage, Jung Seung Hwan, who was sitting in the audience, cheered loudly for IVE, showing just how much he loved their performance. Jang Wonyoung also shared a funny story, saying, "I remember laughing so much when I saw someone do the scorpion dance, and they did it better than me!" making everyone excited.

    In a fun twist, Lee Young Ji, who’s super close with Ahn Yujin, joked, "Ahn Yujin gave me a mission with ‘REBEL HEART,’ she keeps asking me to do things," making everyone laugh. Ahn Yujin replied, "It was a very hard request from my precious younger sibling, but you can say no if you want. But please, I really hope you’ll do it!" Lee Young Ji, though playfully annoyed, went ahead and did her version of REBEL HEART, earning praise from IVE.

    On the show, Lee Young Ji also pointed out that IVE is now the "president of elementary school students," as they’ve been attracting massive attention from younger fans all over the world, with 440,000 fans joining their global tours.

    Lee Young Ji asked Ahn Yujin, "Elementary school kids and toddlers like pretty things. If they like something, it’s really beautiful. Don’t you want to show diva-like moments on stage?"

    Ahn Yujin shared her thoughts, recalling a time when she wore more revealing clothes and gave a bold performance. She said, "Afterward, I had time to greet fans, and there were many kids. I thought, 'Do I really need to show that boldness to growing sprouts?’" She explained that she later changed the choreography to something more suitable, joking, "I guess I’m being a positive influence!" causing laughter among the cast.

    Ahn Yujin’s honest reflection shows how much she cares for her younger fans and wants to set a good example for them while still being true to herself on stage.

    The singer shared some exciting behind-the-scenes moments, revealing how much effort she put into making the special stage perfect.

    On February 9th, (G)I-DLE released a behind-the-scenes video on their official YouTube channel, where Jeon So Yeon reflected on her performance as "JeonDragon".

    Miyeon, a fellow (G)I-DLE member, explained how much Jeon So Yeon worked on the cover, saying, "As far as I know, So Yeon put a lot of effort into this stage."

    Jeon So Yeon then spoke about her dedication, confessing, "I practiced really hard. Everyone at the company thought I was coming back as a solo artist. I didn’t want to cause trouble, but I tried my best. I know I’m still lacking, but I did my best."

    She went on to share that her stage look was heavily inspired by G-Dragon’s iconic style, saying, "The hat I’m wearing is from G-Dragon’s brand. I’m really happy, but it’s also a bit overwhelming. I’m really grateful for the opportunity to do this. I’ve never covered G-Dragon before."

    Jeon So Yeon even shared the detailed process of learning the song, revealing how she paid close attention to G-Dragon’s unique pronunciation.

    She said "I didn’t record with the lyrics I picked out. I listened to the song through earphones and wrote each lyric down because I heard G-Dragon deliberately altered his pronunciation in some parts."

    Describing her mindset, Jeon So Yeon said, "I will approach this with the mindset of a rookie," adding that performing alone on stage made her feel "excited, nervous, and a bit lonely."

    She wore G-Dragon's signature scarf, staying true to the original performance while putting her own spin on the track 'POWER'.

    After finishing her intense performance, Jeon So Yeon expressed how she felt, saying, "I feel like I’m going to die. I was so out of breath and nervous."

    However, upon watching the performance, she was proud, saying, "I like it." She then gave a heartfelt shout-out to her idol, G-Dragon, saying, "I’m such a huge fan of G-Dragon. It’s such an honor to cover his song."

    Jeon So Yeon wrapped up by expressing her gratitude, saying, "It was the official MR, and I’m so thankful that I got to do this."
