    The new thriller Broken, starring Ha Jung Woo and Kim Nam Gil, has made an explosive debut, landing at #1 on the box office on its opening day!

    According to the Korean Film Council’s official network, Broken drew in 42,562 viewers on its first day, securing the top position and kicking off its potential to be a big hit.

    The movie follows Min Tae as he investigates a shocking night involving his brother’s body, his missing wife, and a bestselling novel that eerily predicted the events.

    With such a strong start, Broken has already piqued the interest of many, sparking talks about whether it could be a surprise winner at the box office.

    Meanwhile, Hitman 2, which had been leading the box office for a while, dropped to second place, attracting 33,533 viewers. The movie has now accumulated a total of 2,083,232 viewers.

    Coming in at #3 was The Secret We Cannot Speak, starring Do Kyung Soo, Won Jin Ah, and Shin Ye Eun, with 22,311 viewers. The film has been performing steadily, holding the top spot for overall ticket reservations for its second consecutive week and maintaining its long-term success with a total of 416,190 viewers.

    As for The Black Nuns, it ranked #4 with 18,677 viewers, pushing its total audience count to a massive 1.5 million. The film is expected to break even soon, surpassing 1.6 million views.

    The total number of moviegoers on this day reached 155,437, marking a strong start to the week at the box office.
