• BTS's V Makes History as the Most-Viewed K-pop Star on Wikipedia, Becomes the First to Reach 20 Million Views in English-Speaking Countries

BTS member V (Kim Taehyung) is on fire with his global popularity!

The K-pop star has just made history by becoming the most-viewed K-pop star on Wikipedia! From July 1, 2015, when Wikipedia began tracking page views, to January 31, 2025, V accumulated an impressive 47.4 million views, taking the top spot among all K-pop idols. His massive success proves just how loved he is worldwide!

But that’s not all! V also made history in English-speaking countries back in April 2022, becoming the first-ever K-pop star to hit 10 million views.

Fast forward to May 14, 2024, and he smashed another milestone, hitting 20 million views. Now, V’s total views from English-speaking countries have soared to over 21.11 million, showing his massive fanbase in places like the U.S., the UK, and more.

Wikipedia, with over 500 million page views per day, is often used as a barometer of a star’s popularity, alongside tools like Google Trends.

So when V ranked number one among all K-pop stars in 2024 with 6.67 million views, it was clear just how much people are searching for him!

The second most-viewed language for V was English, which had 3.06 million views, and after that came Spanish and Japanese.

But V’s success doesn’t stop there! He also ranked 7th globally among the most-searched male pop stars on Wikipedia in 2024, right up there with the biggest names like Michael Jackson, Eminem, Kanye West, Drake, Justin Bieber, and Kendrick Lamar!

On top of dominating Wikipedia, V has a huge presence on Google Trends, where he’s been the most searched K-pop star since his debut in 2013.

In 2021, 2022, and 2024, he was even the most searched star across all of Asia! And in 2024, V ranked 4th globally on Google Trends, behind major artists like Drake, Eminem, and Justin Bieber.

On Instagram, V is also killing it as the “most influential influencer” in countries like the U.S. and the UK, ranking first among male singers worldwide in the music category!

With all these top rankings across Google, Wikipedia, and Instagram, V has clearly cemented his place as the K-pop star who captures the world’s attention.
