• BTS's Jimin Shatters Records with Longest Streak on Billboard for Korean Soloist - Here's How He Did It

BTS’s Jimin has just made K-pop history yet again with an incredible new achievement that has set the bar higher for solo artists!

According to the latest Billboard charts released on February 1, Jimin’s second solo album MUSE and his hit song “Who” have taken the world by storm, climbing to new heights. “Who” jumped an impressive 16 spots to land at No. 25 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking its 26th week on the chart.

This achievement is huge! Jimin’s song has now set a record for the longest-charting K-pop solo song, beating out the legendary “Gangnam Style” by Psy. With 26 weeks on the Hot 100, “Who” now holds the third-longest streak of any K-pop song on the chart, behind BTS's “Dynamite” and Psy’s “Gangnam Style.”

But that’s not all—Jimin’s album MUSE also saw a major rise on the Billboard 200, jumping 42 spots to No. 77. It has now been on the chart for 27 consecutive weeks, making it the longest-charting K-pop solo album of all time, and the only K-pop album from 2024 to achieve this feat!

Jimin also continues to dominate the Billboard Artist 100 chart, where he ranked 62nd, marking his 34th week on the chart. He now holds the record for the longest streak by a Korean soloist, further cementing his status as a global solo star.

On top of that, Jimin’s “Who” has been performing extremely well on other global charts, ranking 16th on the Global 200 and 22nd on the Global (excluding U.S.) chart. The song also peaked at No. 11 on the Billboard Streaming Songs chart, making it the second-longest-charting K-pop solo song in history.

Jimin’s MUSE album has once again taken the No. 1 spot on the Billboard World Albums chart for the third time, further proving his global dominance.

With MUSE and his debut album FACE tying for the second-most weeks at No. 1 among Korean solo albums, it’s clear that Jimin is breaking records everywhere he goes.

Jimin’s unparalleled success has made him not only a top K-pop artist but a global icon, setting new standards for solo artists everywhere.

  • BB GIRLS Minyoung Opens Up About Yoojung’s Shocking Departure: "It Felt Like an Empty Spot" – Members Talk About the Pressure of Being in a 5th Gen Group

BBGIRLS’s Minyoung shared her honest thoughts on Yoojung’s departure and how it impacted the group.

On January 31, BBGIRLS appeared on The Seasons - Lee Young Ji’s Rainbow, where they performed their hit songs “We Ride” and “Rollin’,” receiving a warm reception from the audience.

During the show, MC Lee Young Ji asked, “I’ve heard that after ‘Rollin,’ when you made your comeback as a 3-member group, you had a lot of concerns. What was on your mind?” Minyoung responded thoughtfully, saying, “When we reformed as a 3-member group, I was worried that the empty spot might be felt, and that became a burden.”

Minyoung tried to ease the tension with a joke, saying, “We came out a year ago as ‘BBGIRLS,’ and if we think about it, I guess we are a 5th-generation group now.”

Lee Young Ji playfully added, “Wait a second, when you say 5th-generation idols, that includes BabyMonster, NewJeans, RIIZE, and BBGIRLS.” Eunji and Yuna quickly apologized, making everyone laugh.

Minyoung also joked, saying, “We’re a 5th-generation group, but we have no friends. How do we make friends?” She continued, “We can buy meals and drinks for our 5th-generation friends. We also have cars, so we can give rides. Let’s become close. Let’s do challenges for our new song together!”

BBGIRLS made a big announcement last April, revealing that they were starting a new chapter under their own agency, BBGIRLS Company, after leaving Warner Music Korea. They also confirmed that Yoojung had left the group, and Minyoung, Eunji, and Yuna would continue as a three-member group.

The members of BBGIRLS are now facing the pressure of carrying on as a smaller group, but they remain excited and ready for their future together.
