• BTS's V Surprises Fans with His Lunar New Year Update, From Intense Workouts to Reaching His Weight Goal

BTS member V (Kim Taehyung) reached out to fans with a warm Lunar New Year message, sharing updates about his life and health during his military service.

On January 25, V posted on Weverse, asking fans, "Are you all enjoying the holiday?" He added, "It’s a rare long holiday, so I hope you spend it happily! I’ve just been working out non-stop here at the base. There’s not much time left now, and I can’t wait to see you soon."

V, who enlisted on December 11, 2023, as part of the Special Forces (SDT), has been focusing on building his strength. When a fan asked if he had reached his target weight, V proudly replied, "I hit it and now I’m cutting back."

Before enlisting, V shared his ambitious goal of bulking up during his service. “I want to come out truly healthy and strong, with enough stamina to perform ten or more concerts without getting tired. I’ll build up my strength so that I won’t back down even in a shoulder bump with someone,” he had confidently said. At the time, V weighed 62kg and planned to bulk up to 86kg.

Recently, V revealed that he’s already at 75kg and continues to work hard to achieve his goal. Sharing a photo of his well-defined back muscles, V mentioned, “The soldiers in my unit are in such great shape that I need to try harder. I’ll keep working on it.” Fans have been impressed by his noticeably stronger and more masculine physique in the photos he’s shared.

Even during a short vacation, V didn’t let up on his workout routine, showing his dedication. Previously, he joked about becoming the "second-generation Muscleman" in 2025, and it seems he’s staying true to that promise.

On January 20, V also shared a playlist of his favorite music on Instagram with the caption, "End of winter training," referring to the intense outdoor drills completed in freezing conditions. Despite the challenges of military life, V’s dedication and discipline have captured fans' hearts.

With his discharge set for June 10, 2025, fans are eagerly counting down the days until V and the rest of BTS reunite as a group. The anticipation for their future activities is already through the roof!

  • Lim Ji Yeon Addresses Backlash Over Cheering for Jung Woo Sung Amid His Scandal, "I Didn’t Expect the Public’s Reaction"

Actress Lim Ji Yeon is finally opening up about the unexpected backlash she received after showing support for actor Jung Woo Sung during his controversial return to the public eye.

In an interview on January 23rd, following the end of her drama The Tale of Lady Ok, Lim Ji Yeon spoke candidly about the situation that caused a stir at the 45th Blue Dragon Film Awards in November last year.

At the event, Jung Woo Sung made his public return after facing controversy surrounding an “illegitimate child” with model Moon Ga Bi. While Jung Woo Sung took the stage to apologize, Lim Ji Yeon was seen clapping and cheering for him.

Reflecting on that moment, Lim Ji Yeon shared, "It was a brief moment, so it’s hard to say whether it was right or wrong." She added, "I didn’t expect the public’s reaction. On the other hand, I was cautious since The Tale of Lady Ok was airing at the time."

For those who missed it, Jung Woo Sung and Moon Ga Bi, who had been in a relationship since 2022, revealed last year that they were expecting a child.

The actor took full responsibility for the situation and issued an apology during the awards ceremony, saying, "I’m sorry for causing concern and disappointment to everyone who has shown me love and support. I will bear all the criticism, and I promise to take full responsibility as a father to my son".

However, while Jung Woo Sung addressed the controversy, it was Lim Ji Yeon’s show of support that sparked controversy.

She cheered enthusiastically for Jung Woo Sung, while actress Hye Ri, who was seated next to her, kept a neutral, expressionless face. This led to a wave of criticism from some netizens who questioned Lim Ji Yeon’s reaction.

It’s worth noting that Lim Ji Yeon’s agency, Artist Company, was co-founded by Jung Woo Sung and actor Lee Jung Jae, both of whom currently serve as directors.

Could this connection have influenced Lim Ji Yeon’s public display of support? She’s still processing the response, and fans are curious to know how she’ll handle the fallout moving forward.
