BTS member J-Hope brought the heat to Paris, leaving fans screaming and cheering for more!
On January 23rd, J-Hope hit the stage at Le Gala des Pièces Jaunes (Yellow Coin Collection Charity Event) at the La Défense Arena, Paris.
What made the night even more special? The French First Lady, Brigitte Macron, personally invited J-Hope to perform, making it one of the most anticipated events of the year.
As soon as J-Hope stepped on stage, the arena was filled with purple lights from BTS's signature ARMY Bomb lightsticks.
Fans, eager to see their idol, chanted J-Hope’s name long before the performance even started. When he appeared, he greeted the crowd with a simple but powerful “What’s up Paris?” and instantly set the tone for an electrifying show.
J-Hope performed three hit songs: “on the street (solo version)” from his special album HOPE ON THE STREET VOL.1, "MORE" from his first solo album Jack In The Box, and BTS's anthem “MIC Drop”.
The performances of “MORE” and “MIC Drop” had a grand twist, as they were re-arranged in orchestral versions that brought even more energy and excitement to the venue. J-Hope, along with his dancers, gave it their all, delivering a performance that wowed the 35,000 fans in attendance.
The highlight of the night? The grand finale performance of “MIC Drop”. As the powerful intro filled the arena, the energy hit an all-time high, with fans chanting and cheering in perfect sync. At the end, J-Hope gave an unforgettable conductor-like performance, leaving the crowd in awe.
In a heartfelt message through his agency Big Hit Music, J-Hope shared, "It’s been a long time since I greeted the European stage. I’m so happy to have met everyone in such a meaningful place. It made me realize again how amazing it is to bring hope and comfort to people through music and dance. I’m grateful for all the support from ARMY, and if there’s an opportunity, I’ll come back anytime and show you a great performance."
The Le Gala des Pièces Jaunes event, hosted by the Operation Pièces Jaunes foundation, raises funds to support children and adolescents in hospitals. The performance will be aired on France’s public channel France 2 on January 28th.
J-Hope’s Paris performance was definitely one to remember, and ARMY can’t wait to see what’s next!
