BTS's Jimin is continuing to make history with his solo success, even while serving in the military. His album MUSE and hit song “Who” have set new records, proving just how powerful his impact is in the music world.
According to the latest Billboard charts for the week of January 25, Jimin's song "Who" has stayed on the Billboard Hot 100 for an incredible 25 consecutive weeks. This achievement has made “Who” the longest-charting K-pop solo song on the Hot 100, surpassing Psy’s iconic “Gangnam Style.” It’s now tied for the third-longest charting K-pop song overall, alongside BTS's “Dynamite” (32 weeks) and Psy’s “Gangnam Style” (31 weeks), as well as Fifty Fifty’s “Cupid.”
But that's not all! On the Billboard 200, the main chart for albums, Jimin's MUSE rose 17 spots to 118th, marking its 26th consecutive week on the chart. This makes MUSE the only album released in 2024 to reach this milestone. Jimin is now the first-ever Korean solo artist to keep an album on the Billboard 200 for 26 weeks, further cementing his place in history.
Thanks to the success of “Who,” Jimin has also re-entered the Billboard Artist 100 chart at 69th, bringing his total weeks on the chart to 33. This ties him with the record for the longest-charting Korean solo artist on the chart.
Jimin’s “Who” is still doing well on several other Billboard sub-charts too! It ranked 21st on both the Global 200 and Global (Excl. US) charts, 23rd on the Digital Song Sales chart, and 29th on the Streaming Songs chart, making it the second-longest-charting K-pop song on this chart after “Gangnam Style.”
On the World Albums chart, MUSE rose to 3rd place, extending its 26-week streak. This follows Jimin’s first album FACE, which has spent 63 weeks on the World Albums chart, proving that Jimin is a solo artist who continues to maintain long-lasting success.
