Rapper San E is facing serious legal trouble after being charged with special injury for allegedly assaulting a pedestrian.

On January 22, the Seoul Mapo Police Station shared that San E had been forwarded to prosecution without detention for the charges on January 10.

The incident reportedly happened on July 28 last year at around 8:30 PM near the entrance of a park in Mapo-gu.

According to the police, San E allegedly assaulted a pedestrian, identified as "A", while saying, “Push your bicycle properly.” He reportedly used his mobile phone and other objects during the altercation.

Initially, San E was booked on charges of special assault, but the case escalated to special injury when it was confirmed that A suffered injuries. A claimed, “The area near my eye was torn, and some of my teeth were damaged.”

San E’s father, who was present at the scene, was also booked for allegedly assaulting A. Meanwhile, A was also charged for mutual assault.

However, since both parties agreed not to press charges during the settlement process, the investigation concluded under the principle of non-punishment for mutual consent.

When the incident first came to light, San E publicly apologized, saying, “I deeply apologize to the victim for the assault incident caused by me. I would like to meet the victim in person and seek forgiveness."

He added, "I also apologize to everyone who may have been disappointed by my actions. Please reprimand me for my wrongdoing.”
