    The movie Dark Nuns is already making a huge impact even before its official release!

    As of January 21, Dark Nuns ranked No. 1 in real-time ticket pre-sales, according to the Integrated Ticketing System for Movie Theaters.

    With just three days left until its release, the film has already hit a pre-sale rate of 36.0%, with a total of 123,704 tickets sold, securing its top spot.

    The excitement doesn’t stop there—Dark Nuns also attracted 8,738 viewers, landing second place at the daily box office, just behind Harbin. The film is clearly generating buzz, and it's shaping up to have a strong start at the box office.

    Directed by Kwon Hyuk Jae, Dark Nuns follows a group of people who perform a forbidden ritual to save a boy possessed by a powerful evil spirit.

    Song Hye Kyo takes center stage as 'Yunia', a character who risks everything to save the boy, ‘Heejun’, despite opposition from those around her.

    Her passionate performance and appearances on various variety shows have helped push the film’s buzz even higher.

    With a talented cast, a fresh storyline, and plenty of unexpected twists, Dark Nuns is already set to keep audiences on the edge of their seats.

  • Lee Yi Kyung Reveals His LG CEO Father Tried to Stop Him from Filming a Gay Movie, Offered to Pay for Production Costs Just to End It

    Actor Lee Yi Kyung opened up about how his father, a former high-ranking executive at LG, reacted dramatically when he found out his son was starring in a gay-themed movie.

    On January 20th, a new video on the YouTube channel Jjanhan Hyung Shin Dong Yup featured Lee Yi Kyung alongside Hitman 2 co-stars Kwon Sang Woo and Hwang Woo Seul Hye and shared personal stories, including his early acting career.

    Lee Yi Kyung talked about his movie One Night and Two Days, a queer film that revolves around homosexuality, revealing that he filmed it without his father's knowledge.

    "It was a queer movie. It’s about homosexuality, and I filmed it secretly without telling my parents," he explained. "But when they saw the script, it caused chaos in the family".

    He continued, sharing how his father reacted after reading a part of the script that mentioned a sex scene.

    "My parents were shocked and called me while I was filming. My father asked, 'Are you filming a project called One Night and Two Days?' I said yes, and then he said, 'Stop everything and come home. I’ll pay the production costs, just come home quickly'".

    Shin Dong Yeop, Kwon Sang Woo, and Hwang Woo Seul Hye couldn't help but laugh at the situation. "Wow, the family was in chaos," said Shin. Kwon added, "LG wouldn’t allow that!" while Hwang joked, "Father, I’m your adopted son."

    Lee Yi Kyung’s father, Lee Woong Bum, is a former executive at LG Electronics, having served as the president of LG Innotek and the head of LG Chem's Battery Division.

    After retiring from his corporate role in 2017, he became the president of Yeonam University in 2018 and held the position until 2020. In the past, Lee Yi Kyung has also shared how his family opposed his decision to pursue acting.
