• "Single's Inferno 4" Star Lee Sian Gets Sued by Agency for Breaking Contract After Shocking Exit

Lee Sian, who starred in Netflix's Single's Inferno 4, is in hot water after being sued by her agency for breaching her exclusive contract.

Leaders Entertainment revealed on January 21 that they have taken legal action against Lee Sian, accusing her of violating the terms of her contract.

The agency explained, “Lee Sian has violated her exclusive contract, and we are now pursuing legal steps against her.”

The company further detailed, “Since August 2023, we have been managing Lee Sian. Last year, we started serious talks about her appearance on Single's Inferno 4 and made an agreement to extend her contract by 18 months, which was originally set to end on October 25".

They added, "After discussions with her and her family, Lee Sian signed the agreement in May, and filming took place in June. However, right after filming, she suddenly decided to end her contract in August. She informed us through her representative that she would only continue working until October 21.”

Now, Lee Sian is requesting that her contract be terminated. Leaders Entertainment responded firmly, saying, “Both the original contract and the annex agreement were breached."

They added, "Her objections are baseless, and we have strong evidence to support our claims. We will take legal action to protect our rights and ensure this does not happen again.”

Lee Sian was part of the popular Single's Inferno 4, which aired on December 14. Prior to this, she was a former girl group trainee and had appeared on Mnet’s audition programs Idol School (2017) and Produce48 (2018).

  • Honey Lee Breaks Silence and Boldly Denies 6 Billion KRW Tax Controversy: “It’s Not Tax Evasion, It’s Double Taxation”

Actress Honey Lee is firmly denying allegations of tax evasion after reports surfaced that she was hit with a massive KRW 6 billion ($4.5 million) tax bill following an irregular audit.

On March 7, her agency TEAMHOPE released a statement clarifying the situation, saying, “The tax audit conducted last year covered a 5-year period. No evidence of tax evasion, such as undeclared income or false expense reporting, was found.”

The controversy began when it was revealed that Honey Lee and her company, Hope Project, were audited by the Seoul Regional Tax Office in September 2023.

Hope Project, which she founded in 2015 and where her husband serves as CEO, was reportedly ordered to pay additional taxes due to discrepancies in classification.

Honey Lee explained that Hope Project was established to handle activities beyond her work as an actress, including traditional Korean music performances, content creation, and investments.

However, tax authorities interpreted her entertainment income as personal rather than corporate, resulting in what TEAMHOPE calls “double taxation.”

Her agency further emphasized, “This is not a case of tax evasion. The imposed tax includes amounts already declared and paid as corporate taxes, but authorities imposed additional personal income tax on top of that.”

Despite paying the full amount, Honey Lee plans to fight the decision legally. TEAMHOPE stated, “We will work with a tax law firm to clarify this issue through legal procedures.”

Fans are standing by Honey Lee, praising her for addressing the controversy head-on.

Many are eager to see how the case unfolds and whether the actress will be able to overturn what she claims is an unfair tax ruling.
