• Lee Yi Kyung Reveals Surprising Thoughts About His Ex, Jung In Sun, After Award Speech – "I Thought I’d Be Married in My 20s"

Actor Lee Yi Kyung recently opened up about the unexpected reactions he got after mentioning his ex, Jung In Sun, during his award speech.

On January 20th, a new video on the YouTube channel Jjanhan Hyung Shin Dong Yup featured Lee Yi Kyung alongside Hitman 2 co-stars Kwon Sang Woo and Hwang Woo Seul Hye.

During the conversation, Kwon Sang Woo joked about Lee Yi Kyung’s speech at the 2024 Seoulcon A-Plan Star Awards, where Lee Yi Kyung won the Best Actor award in the mid-length drama category for his role in Marry My Husband.

Kwon Sang Woo teased, "I saw you mention your ex-girlfriend when you went to receive an award the other day. I thought you had a Hollywood girlfriend."

Lee Yi Kyung laughed awkwardly and replied, "We were in the same space. It was such a long time ago, and since we did have a public relationship, that’s why."

At the awards ceremony, Lee Yi Kyung surprised everyone by mentioning Jung In Sun during his acceptance speech.

The two had publicly dated back in 2018 but broke up just two months after confirming their relationship.

Lee Yi Kyung admitted that after the speech, he received more messages about his mention of Jung In Sun than about his award.

"I got more messages about my speech than congratulations for the award," he shared with a chuckle.

Shin Dong Yup, offering some advice, said, "Before meeting someone in this world, haven’t we all met someone else? I really can’t understand why people would say something about that. It’s about going through trial and error and thinking, 'This person suits me better.'"

Reflecting on his personal life, Lee Yi Kyung revealed, "I thought I would be married in my 20s, but now I’m almost 40."
