• IVE’s Jang Wonyoung Picks Chef Choi Hyun Suk’s Dish as Her Favorite – Even Takes the Leftovers Backstage

IVE’s Jang Wonyoung wowed fans with her refined taste on JTBC’s Please Take Care of My Refrigerator, where she chose Chef Choi Hyun Suk’s steak as her ultimate favorite dish.

On the episode aired on January 19th, Jang Wonyoung and comedian Lee Eun Ji joined as guests. The chefs were challenged to create dishes using ingredients from Wonyoung’s personal fridge. Competing were Chef Choi Hyun Suk, nicknamed "Totally Lucky Feels Choi", and Chef Kwon Sung Joon.

Chef Kwon Sung Joon prepared a creamy pasta and salad, highlighting Wonyoung’s love for pistachio spread, chestnut honey, and goat cheese.

Meanwhile, Chef Choi Hyun Suk presented a steak dish named Lucky Choi Steak, perfectly cooked to a medium-rare and topped with a unique cheese and lion’s mane mushroom sauce.

The chefs’ creations impressed the judges and Wonyoung, with host Kim Sung Joo sharing his thoughts on the dishes.

While Kwon Sung Joon’s pasta received praise for its rich flavors, its texture became thicker over time. Choi Hyun Suk’s steak, complete with torched cheese and a beautifully plated carrot, stole the show.

Jang Wonyoung was particularly captivated by Choi’s steak. She said, "The meat is perfectly cooked, not salty at all, and the carrot feels like it’s been pickled with fruit. It’s completely my style."

Though she also complimented Kwon’s salad as "the best salad I’ve ever had", she ultimately crowned Chef Choi as the winner.

What caught everyone’s attention was Wonyoung’s closing remark: "It was so delicious that I couldn’t finish it while talking, so I took the leftovers to the waiting room and ate them all!" Fans loved her honesty and how much she enjoyed the dish.

Jang Wonyoung’s appearance on the show once again proved her charming personality and sophisticated taste!
