Singer Paul Kim opened up about his low-key wedding and why he chose to keep his wife’s identity private.

On January 20th, Paul Kim will appear as a special MC on SBS’s Same Bed, Different Dreams 2: You Are My Destiny.

During his appearance, the hosts were surprised to learn that Paul Kim is married, with one of them asking, “Did you secretly get married?” Paul Kim replied, “Since we didn’t have a wedding, people didn’t know I got married.”

It turns out, Paul Kim and his wife legally married last April after dating for 9 years. However, they made the unusual decision to skip the wedding ceremony, leaving many curious about their choice.

When asked why they didn’t have a wedding, Paul Kim explained, “Planning a wedding takes a lot of work, so I suggested to my wife, ‘Since it’s our wedding, why don’t we just focus on each other?’ She agreed right away.” This honest answer left the show’s hosts amazed.

Paul Kim also revealed that, despite not having a wedding, he and his wife still bought a wedding dress and took pictures together, which added a personal touch to their special day. Kim Gu Ra humorously joked, “This is something remarried couples usually do!” and the group shared a laugh.

When the conversation turned to revealing his wife’s face, Paul Kim shared, “I don’t plan on revealing her unless there’s a special reason.” However, Kim Sook teased, “Isn’t Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 part of the plan to reveal her to the public?” which sparked more curiosity among the panel.

Paul Kim jokingly added, “My mother-in-law really likes Same Bed, Different Dreams 2,” leading Seo Jang Hoon to predict, “That means she’ll probably appear on the show in a year.”

Lee Ji Hye also humorously suggested, “It would be fine if your mother-in-law appeared first!” causing everyone to burst out laughing.
