• Lee Hyori Opens Up About Cooking for Lee Sang Soon Every Day—But Here’s Why She Feels Lonely

Lee Hyori recently gave fans a glimpse into her daily life as a homemaker during her guest appearance on her husband Lee Sang Soon's radio show, A Perfect Day with Lee Sang Soon.

On January 16, the iconic singer joined her husband’s MBC FM4U radio program, sharing candid stories about her routines and feelings.

“I usually listen to the show at home, so being here today feels really nice,” Lee Hyori said. “I listen every day to make sure my husband is doing okay. I’m like his personal monitor, praying he doesn’t say anything odd on-air,” she joked.

When Lee Sang Soon asked if she’d noticed any changes in him, she sweetly replied, “You’re always calm and steady, which is something I love about you. There haven’t been any dramatic changes, but that’s a good thing. Listeners appreciate consistency, and your small mistakes here and there make everything feel more relatable.”

Lee Hyori then opened up about life at home, revealing her dedication to cooking for her husband. “Since Sang Soon started DJing about two months ago, I’ve been cooking every day. My cooking skills are definitely improving. I’ve also come to deeply respect all the homemakers in Korea because even deciding on a menu is so hard. I always want to serve something different every day.”

She shared a funny story about visiting the fish market, saying, “I bought 40 croakers (dorumuk) and thought it wasn’t enough, so I went back and ended up with 160 croakers after three trips! I semi-dried and grilled them, but Sang Soon joked he felt like croaker eggs might come out of his mouth from eating so many,” she laughed.

Lee Sang Soon chimed in, saying, “She makes so many side dishes because she’s so quick. Honestly, I’m happy with just one or two simple dishes.”

Lee Hyori responded with a smile but also a touch of seriousness. “I try to make one more side dish for you, but hearing this makes me realize something. Homemakers might not be physically tired—it’s the mental loneliness that’s really hard.”

Her candid confession resonated with many, showcasing a different side of the couple’s life together and highlighting the silent challenges homemakers face.

  • Lee Jun Young says he felt guilty and cried after acting mean to a grandma in 'Brave Citizen'

Lee Jun Young recently opened up about the emotional toll of playing a villain—and how one powerful scene made him break down in tears behind the scenes.

On the May 1st episode of KBS 2TV’s variety show Problem Child in House, Lee Jun Young appeared alongside co-star Jung Eun Ji to promote their new KBS drama Pump Up the Healthy Love.

During the show, Lee Jun Young was asked about the most unforgettable villain he’s played. He chose his role as Han Su Gang in the film Brave Citizen.

He explained, “It was really tough to film. I had to act like I was leading school violence, and there was even a scene where I bullied a grandmother.”

The hosts were surprised, pointing out how kind and gentle he seems in real life. Lee Jun Young shared how he transforms for such roles.

“I try to act as bad as I can, but sometimes the director says, ‘You still look too nice.’ Then I focus even harder and adjust right away.”

He also revealed that filming one particular scene hit him hard emotionally. “My real grandmother was sick at the time,” he said.

“In one scene, there’s a grandma selling gimbap, and I ad-libbed by stubbing a cigarette out on the gimbap. I was really into character, but after filming, I just broke down. So many thoughts came to me and I started crying.”

Fans praised his dedication to acting but also felt moved by how deeply the role affected him. Lee Jun Young’s honesty gave a raw look at how even fictional roles can hit close to home.
