Jungkook recently reached a monumental milestone, surpassing 8 billion streams (before filtering) on his personal Spotify account, solidifying his place as a global music sensation. He’s not only the first K-pop solo artist to hit 8 billion streams, but he also did it in record time — just 1,058 days! Even with his ongoing military service, Jungkook’s Spotify streams continue to soar, with over 7 million streams every day.

In 2024, Jungkook also made history by becoming the first K-pop solo artist to rack up an impressive 3.745 billion streams in just one year. For three straight years (2022–2024), he’s held the title of K-pop solo artist with the most cumulative streams, proving his dominance in the industry.

When it comes to his top hits on Spotify, Jungkook's solo single “Seven” takes the crown with more than 2.154 billion streams! Following closely behind is “Standing Next to You,” from his GOLDEN album, with over 1.088 billion streams. His hit collab “Left and Right” comes in third with over 1.046 billion streams. “3D,” his solo track, holds the fourth spot with 773 million streams. His official FIFA World Cup anthem “Dreamers” follows with over 453 million streams, and the webtoon OST “Stay Alive” wraps it up with 327 million streams.

Jungkook didn’t stop there! He made history with “Seven” by becoming the FASTEST artist in Spotify’s history to hit 100 million, 900 million, 1 billion, and 1.1 billion streams. He also set a new record as the fastest and first Asian artist to reach 2 billion streams on the platform!

In 2024, Jungkook's solo hits also made their mark on Spotify’s "Top Tracks of 2024 Global" list, with both “Seven” and “Standing Next to You” ranking among the top streamed songs worldwide. This achievement made Jungkook the FIRST Asian solo artist to have multiple songs on Spotify’s prestigious global year-end list.

Song Hye Kyo’s much-anticipated return to the big screen with The Black Nuns is making waves, as the film shoots straight to the number one spot in overall pre-sale rankings, even beating out Hyun Bin’s Harbin.

The Black Nuns is a chilling thriller about a group of individuals who perform forbidden rituals to save a boy possessed by a powerful evil spirit. And it’s already generating tons of buzz!

According to the Korean Film Council's integrated computer network, as of 11 AM on January 15, The Black Nuns is leading the pack with a 16.4% pre-sale rate, having sold 38,391 tickets in advance. This is a strong indicator of the film’s high pre-release anticipation, even with nine days still left before its official opening.

With its unique storyline and gripping visual appeal, The Black Nuns is expected to inject fresh energy into the upcoming theater season. Song Hye Kyo has been actively promoting the film, making appearances on tvN's You Quiz on the Block, the web variety show Jeong Jae Hyung's Fairy Table, and sharing vlog videos on the Davichi Kang Min Kyung channel.
