BTS member Jimin continues to break records, and this time, he’s made an incredible rise on the UK Official Singles Chart, reaching the top 5!
On January 11, Jimin’s title track “Who” from his second solo album MUSE soared 59 spots, landing at #5 on the UK Official Singles Top 100 chart.
This impressive climb marks a major achievement for the song, which originally debuted at #4 back in July 2023.
“Who” has now spent 19 weeks on the chart, setting a new milestone as the longest-charting K-pop solo song on the UK chart in the past decade, ever since the 2014 chart overhaul. It also made history as the first K-pop male solo song to stay in the top 10 for over two weeks.
The Official Chart even took to their social media to congratulate Jimin, saying, "This week, 'Who' recorded the biggest upward movement on the chart, becoming the first K-pop superstar’s single to chart in the top 10 for two weeks. Congrats, king!"
In addition to this, Jimin’s “Who” ranked 8th on the Official Streaming Chart and 11th on the Audio Streaming Chart, breaking his personal best in these categories.
Despite his hiatus for military enlistment, Jimin remains a leading figure in the global K-pop scene, continuing to make waves in the UK, the birthplace of pop music.
Furthermore, “Who” reached a major milestone last year by selling over 200,000 copies in the UK within just 105 days of release.
This earned him a Silver certification (BRIT Certified Silver) from the British Phonographical Industry (BPI) in November, further cementing his influence and success in the international music scene.
