BLACKPINK’s global star, Jennie, is shining on the cover of Billboard magazine, and she’s opening up like never before about her solo debut!
On January 9 (local time), Billboard shared a new article titled "The Fight with Myself: Jennie’s Deep Dive into Creating Her Solo Album," featuring stunning photos of Jennie and a heartfelt interview.
In the article, Billboard teases that while the world knows Jennie as a member of BLACKPINK, her upcoming solo album will reveal the "real Jennie."
Jennie shared her personal journey, saying, “I started listing what I wanted in my life and began to figure out what the next step would be. Then I realized, ‘I still haven’t achieved the dream of releasing a solo album.’” She added, “I wanted to fulfill that goal and feel satisfied with myself.”
She also spoke about the exciting new chapter in her career, including founding her own company, OA Entertainment (ODDATELIER), and the partnership with Columbia Records.
“I want to complete myself as Jennie Ruby Jane,” Jennie said, hinting at the deeper meaning behind her solo album. “Once the album is released, you’ll understand exactly what I mean. I rap here, sing here, harmonize here, and tell stories here. With various genres and elements, I made sure that I love every single song in the album.”
Jennie’s solo album is officially ready to drop, and fans can expect a mix of everything she’s passionate about, from rap to singing to storytelling.
