Actress Han Ji Min, a proud native of Dongjak-gu, had a truly emotional moment on the latest episode of Whenever There’s a Gap! On January 7, Han Ji Min, alongside her My Perfect Secretary co-star Lee Jun Hyuk, appeared on the SBS variety show.
During the episode, the stars took on a mission at the Dongjak-gu Health Center, alongside Yoo Jae Suk and Yoo Yeon Seok. The employees at the health center had submitted a special story request, and the guests were eager to help.
The challenge started with a relay eraser task, which the four of them completed with ease. They breezed through the first two stages and were ready for the final challenge, Stage 3. If they succeeded, a coffee truck would be gifted to the hardworking health center staff. With the pressure on her, Han Ji Min stepped up and completed Stage 3 on her first try, prompting cheers from the cast and crew!
Overcome with emotion, Han Ji Min teared up, feeling the weight of the moment. Yoo Yeon Seok jokingly asked, “Can we hear your acceptance speech?” Han Ji Min smiled, saying, “I’m really glad.” Lee Jun Hyuk, clearly moved, embraced her, saying, “You are the most admirable person I’ve ever seen.”
Yoo Jae Suk couldn’t help but shout out, “To all the residents of Dongjak-gu, Dongjak’s daughter Han Ji Min has done it!” causing everyone to laugh and cheer.
Still teary-eyed, Han Ji Min softly whispered, “I don’t even know why I’m crying. I’m just so relieved and happy.”
Later, while enjoying lunch, Han Ji Min’s spirits were high as she smiled brightly and said, “Today, I feel so happy that I just want to leave work here.” It was a moment filled with joy, pride, and lots of love for her hometown.
