• GFRIEND Reveals the Story Behind their 10th Anniversary Song "Season of Memories" That Has Fans in Tears

GFRIEND (Sowon, Yerin, Eunha, Yuju, SinB, Umji) is back together, and their fans couldn’t be happier! The group surprised everyone by pre-releasing their heartfelt new song "Season of Memories" on January 6 to celebrate their 10th anniversary.

The special track, which will be part of their upcoming album, was first performed as a surprise at the 39th Golden Disc Awards. That performance has now become the most-viewed clip from the entire event, showing just how much fans still adore the group. Following the overwhelming response, GFRIEND and Source Music shared the emotional and behind-the-scenes journey of creating the song.

The six members personally took part in the making of "Season of Memories," working closely with their longtime Source Music team. They were involved in everything—from choosing the song’s themes to making key production decisions. Despite their busy lives, the members prioritized recording together, giving feedback to ensure the track captured their emotions perfectly.

In a statement through Source Music, GFRIEND shared:
"This song is our gift to Buddy (our fans). When we first heard it, we felt it truly represented who we are as a group. The lyrics tell our story, and it brought us so much joy and even tears. We hope that everyone, especially Buddy, feels the same emotions we did. We are so thankful to our staff and producers for helping us create something so special."

The producers behind the song, Noh Joo-hwan and Lee Won-jong, also opened up about the process:
"Being part of GFRIEND’s 10th-anniversary project was unlike anything else we’ve done. We wanted to make music that only GFRIEND could bring to life. It was an incredible experience, full of meaning and gratitude."

The song’s title, "Season of Memories," is deeply tied to GFRIEND’s history with their fans. It was inspired by a slogan from their first concert: "We’ll always stay with you in your warm seasons." The lyrics include references to their past songs, with lines like "As the clock’s hands divide the night" calling back to "Rough" and "Time for the Moon Night," while "Finally, we’ve found you" connects to "Crossroads."

GFRIEND’s special album, "Season of Memories," will officially drop on January 13 at 6 PM KST, and fans can’t wait to relive the magic this iconic group brings. Are you ready for the next chapter of GFRIEND’s unforgettable journey?

  • Song Hye Kyo Gets Real About Rumors and Criticism: "I've Been Criticized A Lot, So Negative Comments Are Fine"

Song Hye Kyo opened up about how she handles the rumors that often surround her, showing just how much she has grown and matured over the years in the entertainment industry.

On January 8th, the actress appeared on tvN's You Quiz on the Block for the first time in 23 years, and during the episode, she didn’t shy away from discussing how she faces the various rumors about her.

“I’ve been working for so long that I didn’t realize it, but when I hear it from here and there, I realize there are a lot of rumors about me,” Song Hye Kyo shared honestly. She then explained how she deals with the rumors head-on when they come up in interviews or casual conversations with strangers.

“I tell them, ‘I’ve heard that too. Go ask the person who started that rumor. I don’t know, so I’m not sure what answer I should give,’” she proudly said, showing her cool and relaxed attitude toward the gossip.

Song Hye Kyo also opened up about how criticism doesn’t affect her the way it once did. “I’ve been criticized so much that, honestly, I’m okay with it now. It’s fine when bad, malicious comments are directed at me,” she admitted. “But when it’s aimed at my family, it breaks my heart.”

Reflecting on her long career, she shared how her attitude toward rumors has changed since her debut. “Since I started working at such a young age, there have been many small and big rumors. Because of my job, I often hear things and just let it go. There were times when I thought, ‘Isn’t this a bit too much?’” she recalled. “But one day, I met someone who asked, ‘I heard this rumor, can I ask about it?’ I said, ‘If I knew, I would answer. But I’ve only heard this as gossip, and I don’t know about it, so I can’t say anything. It would be faster for you to ask the person who started the rumor.’”

Song Hye Kyo, who has handled the pressures of fame with grace, will next be starring in the upcoming movie The Black Nuns, set to be released on January 24th. Fans are excited to see her return to the big screen, and we can’t wait to see what’s next for this veteran actress.
