• Chae Soo Bin’s Family Hilariously Reacts to Her "When the Phone Rings" Kiss Scenes – You Won't Believe What Her Dad Does

Actress Chae Soo Bin recently shared some funny and relatable stories about her family's reactions to her latest drama, When the Phone Rings.

In an interview with Spotv News on January 8th, Chae Soo Bin opened up about how her father handles watching her in love scenes on screen.

"My dad can't watch the kiss scenes, so he always turns off the TV," she said with a laugh. "I think it's hard for him to watch." It seems like her father prefers to skip those intense moments!

Chae Soo Bin starred as the lead character, Hong Hee Joo, in the popular MBC drama When the Phone Rings, which just wrapped up its run.

The show, based on a hit web novel, follows a married couple in a political marriage who experience a thrilling, secret romance after receiving a mysterious phone call.

Chae Soo Bin’s character, Hong Hee Joo, faces a tragic past involving a devastating accident that leaves her step-sister deaf and her younger brother dead.

The actress revealed that she watched the final episode of the show alone. "I went to my grandmother's house, so I didn't watch it with them. I watched it alone in silence," she explained. "I couldn't watch it with my parents. I think my dad couldn't handle it."

While her dad may not have been able to watch it, her mom seemed to love the drama. "My mom seemed to enjoy it a lot. Every time an episode ended, she'd say, 'Wow, that was fun'", Chae Soo Bin shared.

However, it wasn’t easy for the family to watch together, as her dad was always away when it aired. "Whenever we could watch it together, my dad was never home," she added. "He would prepare himself, and when the drama ended, he'd watch it on Netflix and fall asleep."

Chae Soo Bin also joked about her dad's efforts to avoid the kiss scenes. "He can't watch my kiss scenes, so he always turns the TV off. When the kiss scenes come on, he's like, 'Ugh!' and turns it off," she said, making everyone laugh at the relatable father-daughter moment.

Even though her dad tries to skip the steamy scenes, it’s clear that the family is proud and supportive of her acting career.
