Actress Ko Hyun Jung is finally speaking out after undergoing a major surgery that left fans worried about her health. On January 7, she shared an emotional message expressing her gratitude and love for singer Jeckie, who has supported her throughout her recovery.
In a heartfelt post, Ko Hyun Jung wrote, “Jeckie, I love you and am thankful,” adding, “You’ve been a great source of comfort and strength for me. I am truly grateful,” along with a heart emoji. Fans were touched by her sincere words, as it’s clear Jeckie has been a big part of her healing journey.
Ko Hyun Jung had previously revealed that she had gone through a major surgery, which caused concern among her fans. However, she assured everyone that she is now on the road to recovery. “I’m sorry for causing worry,” she shared. “I’ve recovered a lot. I can eat well now and even meet close acquaintances. It was more painful than I expected, but after successfully completing the major surgery, I feel more at ease.” She also shared a photo of herself today, updating fans on her condition.
Despite her recovery, Ko Hyun Jung will not return to the set of Namib to finish the remaining filming. A representative from the drama confirmed, “We wrapped up everything smoothly without any additional filming.” Ko Hyun Jung had previously caused concern by missing the Namib press conference last December due to health issues.
Namib is a Genie TV original drama in which Ko Hyun Jung plays the role of Kang Soo Hyun, a former star producer who faces a new journey alongside a long-time trainee, Yoo Jin Woo (played by Ryeo Un). Fans were even more worried after Ko Hyun Jung withdrew from the press conference just two hours before it started. The production team explained that her health had suddenly worsened, and doctors advised her to rest, which led to her absence.
While Ko Hyun Jung focuses on her recovery, her fans are sending her all their love and support, hoping to see her back in action soon.
