• BTS's Jimin Proves He's the King of K-Pop Soloists by Winning 4 Big Awards in One Day – Here's How He Did It

BTS's Jimin ended 2024 with a bang, taking home four huge awards in one day at the Asia Artist Awards (AAA) and the Asian Pop Music Awards (APMA).

On December 27, 2024, Jimin was named Best Musician (Solo) at the 9th Asia Artist Awards in Bangkok, Thailand. But that wasn’t all! Over in Hong Kong at the Asian Pop Music Awards 2024, his second solo album MUSE earned him the Album of the Year and People’s Choice awards. His hit song “Who” also won Best Dance Performance, giving him three more trophies from the event.

Winning four awards in a single day is no small feat, especially since Jimin has been serving in the military since late 2023. Despite not being able to promote his album MUSE in person, Jimin's music continues to dominate and captivate fans worldwide.

Earlier this year, Jimin made headlines when he won the Best K-Pop award at the MTV Europe Music Awards, proving his international popularity. At the 2024 MAMA Awards in Japan, he added two more honors to his list: the Visa Fans' Choice of the Year, one of the biggest awards of the night, and the Fans' Choice Bonsang.

Jimin’s first solo album FACE, released in 2023, also remained a hit this year. Its title track, “Like Crazy,” was celebrated at the 2024 BMI London Awards as the only K-pop song on their prestigious list of the year’s most-performed tracks.

Even during his military enlistment, Jimin has stayed close to fans' hearts. A recent survey by Bugs named him the artist fans most want to spend New Year’s with, showing how much love and support he continues to receive.

Fans are counting down the days to June 12, 2025, when Jimin will finish his military service. Many are already excited to see what this record-breaking artist will do next.

  • "BTS’s Jin was scary at first?" -Actress Ji Ye Eun says she was afraid to get close but now they fight like real siblings

Actress Ji Ye Eun recently shared her honest thoughts about working with BTS's Jin and how their relationship grew during filming.

On April 29, a video titled “Actually, Ji Ye Eun doesn’t know how to curse—riding in one car with her” was uploaded on VIVO TV’s YouTube channel. In the video, Ji Ye Eun opened up about her experience filming the Netflix show Fishing Brothers: Season of Crazy Fun (Daehwanjang Gianjang).

She revealed that she got her boat license just for the show. “After trying it on the Han River, I felt confident about the driving part. It was actually easier than I thought. But the written test was so hard,” she said. “It’s completely different from driving a car, so it was confusing. I took the test so many times that the people at the test center started to recognize me and even wished me good luck. I went almost every two days,” she said, laughing.

Ji Ye Eun also shared how happy she was with the show’s success. “As of filming day, I heard the show was ranked third. I really care about that kind of thing. Since we all worked so hard, I hope more people watch and enjoy it.”

When asked by Song Eun I if she got close to castmates Gian 84 and Jin, she responded honestly. “Even though we didn’t spend a long time together, we went through a lot and got close. At first, I didn’t know how to talk to Jin oppa. He’s a world star, so I was nervous. I even worried I’d get hate comments for being near him. But once filming started, those worries disappeared,” she said.

Ji Ye Eun then made everyone laugh by adding, “Jin oppa and I became like real siblings. We argued a lot, and Gian 84 oppa had to stop us!”

Meanwhile, Ji Ye Eun is currently appearing on SBS’s Running Man, continuing to grow her popularity on variety shows.
