JTBC's historical drama The Tale of Lady Ok is making waves across Southeast Asia, with its gripping plot and the incredible performance of Lim Ji Yeon!
According to Viu's weekly chart for the fourth week of December (December 23–29), released on January 3, the drama has been a huge success. It ranked 3rd in Hong Kong and 4th in Malaysia, grabbing the attention of viewers all over the region. It also secured spots in the top 10 in key countries, taking 8th place in Thailand and 10th in Singapore, proving its international appeal.

The Tale of Lady Ok tells the intense story of Ok Tae-young (played by Lim Ji Yeon), a woman caught in a dangerous survival con game with a fake identity and husband. The drama takes a fresh twist on historical themes, focusing on the lives of commoners and slaves, rather than the usual palace-centered plots.
Despite being set in the past, the series has quickly gained traction with its unique storyline and the strong chemistry between Lim Ji Yeon and her co-star Choo Young-woo, who plays Yi In Cheon Seung-hwi, the man trying to protect her. Their performances have been widely praised, adding to the drama's growing popularity.
Viu, the Hong Kong-based OTT platform, continues to rise in popularity in Asia, now reaching 16 countries across Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. With The Tale of Lady Ok among its hit shows, Viu is solidifying its place as one of the top platforms in the region.
