Actor Lee Min Ho recently shared an unforgettable and embarrassing moment from his early career, revealing how he became a “falling star” at his first Baeksang Arts Awards.
On the December 25th episode of You Quiz on the Block (Episode 274), Lee Min Ho made a guest appearance and reflected on his rise to fame.
The actor, known for his iconic role as Goo Jun Pyo in Boys Over Flowers, won the Best New Actor award at the Baeksang Arts Awards, but it wasn’t just his victory that grabbed attention.
Lee Min Ho recalled, "I was attending the Baeksang for the first time, and I was so excited. Since I wasn’t going as Goo Jun Pyo, but as Lee Min Ho, I styled my hair in a perm and was ready to go." However, things took an unexpected turn when he tripped and fell on the red carpet.
He sighed, recalling, "That day, I fell. I fell and created so many memes. Even now, I look back and think, 'How did I walk that quickly on the red carpet?'"
Laughing at his own clumsiness, he admitted, "I was moving at the speed of light, no composure, no focus. Honestly, more than the joy of winning the award, that day was chaotic and so embarrassing for me."
Though his win was a highlight, Lee Min Ho humorously shared that the incident of tripping overshadowed the excitement of his achievement.
It’s safe to say that while the fall became a funny meme, it also became a lesson in humility for the actor, and a moment that fans still remember to this day.

BTS’s V is receiving an overwhelming outpouring of love from his Chinese and Korean fans as they celebrate his birthday on December 30! Every year, V’s Chinese fan club, Baidu Vbar, organizes massive events to honor his special day, and this year is no different, with celebrations taking place across various cities!
To mark the occasion, a unique “Taehyung Park” will be set up near HYBE’s headquarters in Yongsan, Seoul. The park will feature a giant custom doll of V along the Han River, giving fans a memorable experience. The sculpture is inspired by V’s solo album and even includes a tribute to his beloved dog, Yeontan.
Fans in Seoul are also treated to a huge display of love, with 160 DID lightbox screens installed across subway lines 2 and 4. These screens will showcase 160 different birthday messages to spread joy to V. In addition, all 4,448 screens on subway lines 3 and 9 will broadcast a special birthday video for V, reaching nearly 2 million daily passengers!
But the birthday celebrations don’t stop there! At Hongdae Station, advertisements will appear on the AREX’s four AM boards, with over 100 daily ads. From the underground to the outdoors, V’s fans have decked out places all over Seoul with birthday content. The Hyundai Department Store in Sinchon, U-Plex, and 21 DID screens from Line 1 to Line 8 will all feature ads, along with a Scarlet LED screen in Hongdae.
Fans can also enjoy birthday events at Compose Coffee stores in Seoul and Chuncheon, where V is currently serving in the military. The Donggyo branch in Hongdae will be transformed into a birthday cafe, while the Gangwon University branch in Chuncheon will offer decorations and free drinks in honor of V.
Across the country, 150 screens at 34 Kyobo Bookstores, from Seoul to V’s hometown of Daegu, will display birthday content. Not to mention, 3,193 CU convenience store locations nationwide will feature V’s birthday video on 3,203 screens, reaching over 3 million customers daily.
In Chuncheon, lightboard ads featuring V and Yeontan have been set up at historical locations, sending heartfelt messages of love and gratitude for V’s service. Meanwhile, in Shanghai, a major event will be held at a shopping mall, featuring vibrant V-themed displays.
In China, 38 Molly Tea Store locations across 30 cities will be decorated for V’s birthday, and 25,900 gifts will be given to fans as part of the celebrations. Hangzhou’s Longxiangqiao Station, one of the busiest metro stations, will feature LED dual-screen ads to honor V’s special day.
Fans have also shown their love for Yeontan by making donations. Vbar adopted animals from the Hongshan Zoo in Nanjing, naming them after Yeontan, and in Hangzhou, fans donated food to an animal shelter in Yeontan’s name, a touching tribute to V’s furry friend.
