• NewJeans Reveal the Sweet Story Behind Prepaying 560 Meals at a Cold Winter Rally

NewJeans once again showed their kind hearts by prepaying meals for fans and others attending a rally, and the members couldn’t be prouder of the impact they’ve made.

On the December 25th broadcast of CBS Radio’s Kim Hyun Jung’s News Show, Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein opened up about their thoughtful act of kindness.

Since their debut, NewJeans have become known not just for their music but also for their charity work. From donating album profits and university festival earnings to helping earthquake victims and supporting children with 100 million KRW, the group continues to use their platform for good.

Their latest good deed involved prepaying for 560 meals at an impeachment rally. The meals included 110 servings of gimbap, 250 cups of beverages, 100 bowls of samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup), 50 bowls of onban (warm rice soup), and 50 bowls of dumpling soup.

Danielle shared the heartwarming reason behind the gesture, saying, “It was so cold, and I thought having warm food would not only warm their stomachs but also create warm moments for them to share conversations with those around them. I really wanted to do this.”

She continued, “We prepared 560 servings in total. Our Bunnies (fandom name) loved it, and we also made it available for others, so I think they felt warm too, and that made me really happy.”

Minji added, “Fans took photos of their light sticks together and shared proof shots, which made us feel proud. The song we selected was also meaningful because this year-end has been tough for so many people. Knowing we could help, even in a small way, made us proud and happy.”

Fans have been praising NewJeans for their consistent kindness and thoughtful actions, calling them “role models” and “an inspiration to the next generation.”

This heartfelt gesture is another reminder of how NewJeans are using their influence to make the world a warmer and better place.

  • Seo Kang Joon’s ‘Undercover High School’ Takes Over—Becomes the Most Talked-About Drama in Just One Week

Seo Kang Joon is proving his star power as his new drama Undercover High School takes the top spot in buzz rankings.

On February 24, Good Data Corporation, a company that tracks online reactions to K-content, announced that MBC’s new Friday-Saturday drama Undercover High School ranked #1 in TV-OTT drama buzz for the third week of February.

Not only that, but lead actor Seo Kang Joon also topped the TV-OTT drama actor buzz rankings, showing just how much viewers are loving his performance.

The drama follows a National Intelligence Service (NIS) agent who goes undercover as a high school student to retrieve Emperor Gojong’s lost gold bars.

Seo Kang Joon plays the elite NIS agent Jung Hae Sung, who ditches his suit for a school uniform to complete his mission.

Despite tough competition from SBS’s Buried Hearts (ranked #2) and tvN’s My Dearest Nemesis (ranked #6), Undercover High School secured the top spot, largely thanks to Seo Kang Joon’s performance.

According to Good Data Corporation’s Won Soon Woo, “Based on netizens’ sentiment analysis, Seo Kang Joon was chosen as the actor who best suits his male lead role among the three new dramas. The positive response to his visuals and acting has directly boosted the drama’s popularity.”

Meanwhile, Netflix originals are also making waves, with The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call and Melo Movie ranking #3 and #4, while the highly anticipated When Life Gives You Tangerines entered the chart at #8 before its release.

Other school-themed dramas are also gaining attention, with Friendly Competition (U+ Mobile TV) and Study Group landing at #5 and #9, respectively.

MBC’s Undercover High School, starring Seo Kang Joon, airs every Friday and Saturday at 9:50 PM KST.
