BTS's Jimin is truly dominating the music world, making a massive impact on the 2024 Billboard Year-End Charts!
On December 13 (U.S. local time), Billboard revealed that Jimin earned spots in 14 different categories on their prestigious Year-End charts for 2024, breaking his own record from the previous year, where he ranked in 13 categories. This year, Jimin has truly solidified his status as a global K-pop superstar.
Jimin’s second solo album MUSE made its mark, ranking 200th on the main Billboard 200 chart. With both MUSE and his debut solo album FACE in 2023, Jimin has become the first and only Korean solo artist to appear on this chart for two consecutive years—a major accomplishment showing his incredible solo power!
One of the biggest milestones came with his track "Who." Jimin became the only K-pop artist to chart on the Billboard Year-End Streaming Songs chart, landing in 74th place. This makes "Who" the first solo Korean song to chart on this list since PSY’s legendary "Gangnam Style." Jimin achieved this incredible feat with just three months of activity after its release.
"Who" also made waves on the Digital Song Sales chart, where it ranked 9th, while Jimin himself ranked 15th on the Digital Song Sales Artist chart. These achievements, combined with his strong performances in streaming and sales, led Jimin to make a powerful debut at 89th on the Hot 100 Artist chart.
On the Global 200 chart, Jimin’s tracks "Who" and "Like Crazy" ranked 106th and 154th, respectively, marking the first time a Korean artist had multiple solo tracks appear on this list. Jimin also ranked 44th on the Global 200 Artist chart. His songs “Who” and “Like Crazy” continued to make their mark on the Global (Excluding the U.S.) Year-End chart, with "Who" at 99th and "Like Crazy" at 112th. On the Global (Excluding the U.S.) Artist chart, Jimin ranked 28th.
Jimin’s MUSE also made an impressive entry on the Top Current Album Sales Year-End chart, landing at 46th, making him the first and only Korean solo artist to have two consecutive albums chart on this list, following FACE in 2023. On the World Albums Year-End chart, MUSE ranked 11th, while Jimin ranked 6th on the World Albums Artist chart, becoming the only Korean solo artist to appear on both lists.
Even though Jimin is currently fulfilling his military service, his presence on the Billboard Year-End charts is undeniable. His song "Who" has stayed strong on the Hot 100 for an impressive 21 consecutive weeks, proving his unyielding popularity and influence worldwide. Jimin is truly the K-pop frontman of 2024!
