• Girls' Generation's YoonA Finally Tells All About Why She Didn’t Invite Hyoyeon to Her Birthday Party – And It’s Not What You Think!

Girls' Generation member YoonA opened up about why she didn’t invite fellow member Hyoyeon to her birthday party, and it turns out, there was a bit of tension behind it!

On December 18th, a new video titled "Drinking with My Little Sister YoonA" was uploaded to Hyoyeon’s YouTube channel Hyoyeon's Level Up.

In the video, YoonA joined Hyoyeon for a fun conversation where she shared some surprising details about her birthday celebration.

During the chat, YoonA revealed that she had asked the Girls' Generation group chat if anyone was free to join her for a birthday meal.

However, her request was met with rejection from the members, leaving YoonA a little upset. She explained, "As my birthday was approaching, I asked in the Girls' Generation group chat, 'Would you like to have a birthday meal together? Is anyone free?' But everyone rejected me. Honestly, I was a little upset."

Hyoyeon pointed out, “At that time, YoonA only mentioned it when the date was almost here,” and Yoona agreed, saying, “I ended it by saying, 'I’ll try to find another date, let’s meet soon.'”

However, the situation took a turn when YoonA talked about how Sooyoung’s birthday went. She shared, "When Sooyoung’s birthday came around, a few of us went to eat meat, and I said, 'This place is really good, let’s come here again if we get the chance.' Later, Sooyoung and Tiffany asked, 'When will you be free?' so we went back to that place again.”

To YoonA’s surprise, what she thought was just a casual meal turned into an entire birthday celebration with the members. She admitted, "I thought the members were just buying me a meal, but it turned into a birthday party. I kept thinking, 'It would have been better if all the members were there.'"

Hyoyeon, feeling guilty, apologized to YoonA, saying, "I’m really grateful that the other members took care of it instead." YoonA, in good spirits, jokingly responded, "Buy me a meal sometime," to which Hyoyeon cheerfully replied, "I can always buy you a meal."

It seems like the members are still as close as ever, despite the mix-up!
