• NewJeans Breaks Record Again with 'Ditto' Surpassing 700 Million Streams on Spotify

NewJeans has hit another major milestone with their track "Ditto" surpassing a massive 700 million streams on Spotify, the world's biggest music streaming platform!

As of November 11, Ditto, from NewJeans' single album OMG, has reached 700,011,649 streams, marking it as the second song by the group to achieve this impressive feat, following the title track "OMG" from the same album.

Released as a pre-release track on December 19, 2022, "Ditto" is known for its warm, soothing melody and the group's calming vocals. The song quickly gained attention, even entering the Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Official Singles Top 100 just six months after NewJeans debuted. "Ditto" also set a record in South Korea, topping the daily chart on Melon for an incredible 99 consecutive days and finishing as the number one song of 2023.

American music magazine Paste even recognized "Ditto" as one of the best songs of the 2020s, calling it a perfect example of NewJeans' unique sound and massive rise to fame in the music world.

As "Ditto" approaches its second anniversary, it continues to dominate major charts, holding strong at the top in South Korea and abroad. NewJeans has shown a pattern of consistent success, keeping their songs on top of streaming charts, whether they release new hits or continue to rack up streams with older ones. This popularity helped them land the fifth spot on Spotify's 2024 year-end K-pop artist streaming chart, the highest position for any K-pop girl group on the list.

With 14 tracks surpassing 100 million streams on Spotify, NewJeans is on fire. In addition to "Ditto" and "OMG" reaching over 700 million streams, other hits like "Super Shy" and "Hype Boy" have over 600 million, "Attention" has over 400 million, and songs like "New Jeans" and "ETA" are cruising past 300 million. The group’s total Spotify streams have now exceeded 5.5 billion—an incredible achievement for the rising stars!

Looking ahead, NewJeans is ready to take the stage at the 2024 Music Bank Global Festival in Japan on the 14th and perform at the CDTV Live! Live! Christmas Special on Japan's TBS on the 16th. They’ll also be attending the 9th Asia Artist Awards (AAA 2024) in Bangkok on the 27th, where they’ll meet their Thai fans. It looks like NewJeans’ global reign is just getting started!
