• Seo Hyun Jin Reveals She Learned Tango for "The Trunk" and Explains Why It Was So Important for Her Role

Actress Seo Hyun Jin has opened up about her behind-the-scenes experience on The Trunk and shared some surprising details about her preparation for the role.

In a recent video released on the 'Netflix Korea' channel, Seo Hyun Jin gave fans an exclusive look at some of the items from the show. One item she highlighted was a USB filled with tango music, which she explained was essential to her preparation.

She revealed, “I insisted on learning tango from the beginning. Tango instructors aren’t something you see everywhere. It's a passion-driven job, so I knew it was something I had to experience myself to truly understand my character.”

Seo Hyun Jin continued to explain the deep connection she made with tango for her role. “I thought that in order to understand my character, I needed to understand why someone would fall in love with tango,” she said. “I wanted to know what kind of person would be drawn to this dance. I think that's why I worked so hard to learn it.”

She went on to describe how tango, being a dance that requires partnership, played a crucial role in her character development. “Tango is a dance you do with someone,”

Seo Hyun Jin shared. “I realized that relationships are really important in this character’s life. You rely on someone, you move forward together, but when that bond breaks, everything can come to a halt. "

She added, "My instructors taught me something really important: ‘You two are dancing together, but you can’t completely rely on each other, nor can you stand completely alone. You have to find that balance.’ I thought that was a lot like life.”

The Trunk is a mysterious show about a unique marriage service revealed through an eerie trunk by the lakeside, exploring the strange marriage journey of two people. The show premiered on November 29.

  • Min Hee Jin says she won’t apologize as ex-ADOR employee demands over $70K for emotional damage

The legal battle between former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin and a former ADOR employee, known as "A", is still far from over.

On May 26, the Seoul Western District Court’s 21st Civil Division will hold the second hearing in a damages lawsuit filed by A. The lawsuit demands about 100 million KRW (approximately $73,000 USD) from Min Hee Jin.

This all began in August of last year when A accused Min Hee Jin of defamation and violating personal information laws, and filed both criminal and civil complaints.

A claims they experienced workplace bullying and sexual harassment by ADOR’s former deputy CEO, "B", and said that Min Hee Jin, who was the CEO at the time, tried to cover it up instead of taking action.

Min Hee Jin strongly denied the claims. She responded by releasing private chat logs between her and A, along with an 18-page written statement defending her position.

Back in January, both sides joined a court-led mediation session in an attempt to settle the civil case. A’s side said they would consider settling if Min Hee Jin apologized.

However, Min Hee Jin's side declined, firmly stating, “We cannot admit to any of the claims,” and the talks broke down.

During the first hearing in March, the court told both parties to organize their arguments and submit their opinions on the evidence, which the court will now review in the upcoming second hearing.

The case has drawn attention as it involves serious accusations and one of the most high-profile figures in the K-pop industry.
