• Actress Yoo In Na Opens Up About Being a Victim of a Shocking Romance Scam: “They Used My Stolen Photos to Borrow Money”

Actress Yoo In Na recently shared an unbelievable and terrifying story from her past, revealing that she was unknowingly involved in a romance scam during her early 20s.

On December 10, a video was uploaded to the Yoo In Radio YouTube channel featuring actor Park Jung Min as a guest. During the conversation, Yoo In Na opened up about her strange and unforgettable experience.

She began by saying, “This happened when I was in my early 20s and working part-time at a café. A man suddenly came up to me and said, ‘Hey Hye Young.’ I told him, ‘I’m not Hye Young,’ but he kept insisting, ‘No, you’re definitely Hye Young.’ I was really confused and a little scared.”

Yoo In Na continued, “To prove I wasn’t this ‘Hye Young,’ I told him my real name. Then, he pulled out his phone and showed me photos—photos of me! I was so shocked because I had no idea how he had them.”

When Park Jung Min asked if the photos were really hers, Yoo In Na confirmed, “Yes, they were all photos of me, taken from my Cyworld account. It turned out that a woman had stolen my photos, shared them with this man, and created fake stories like, ‘This is what I did today.’”

Things escalated when Yoo In Na discovered the situation was part of a romance scam. She explained, “The woman had borrowed money from the man—100,000 or 200,000 won. Back then, that was a lot of money for me. I told him, ‘This isn’t me. Go check my Cyworld account, all these photos are publicly available.’”

Eventually, the scam unraveled. Yoo In Na recalled, “The man told ‘Hye Young,’ ‘I’ve met the real person in the photos, and I’m going to report this.’ That’s when the woman contacted him and returned the money. Thankfully, it got resolved, but it was such a bizarre experience.”

Reflecting on the incident, Yoo In Na added, “Isn’t it incredible? Of course, it was a bad thing, but even after so many years, it’s an unforgettable story. It still fascinates me to this day.”

Her shocking confession left viewers amazed and served as a reminder of how far scams can go.

Starring Yook Sung Jae and Bona, the show exploded in popularity during its very first week — topping Netflix charts in multiple countries and hitting double-digit TV ratings straight out of the gate.

On Korean television, The Haunted Palace shocked viewers with a strong start. Episode 1 pulled in a peak nationwide rating of 10.7%, instantly breaking the double-digit barrier.

The Seoul area rating and the national average were both 9.2%, making it the highest-rated premiere of any SBS drama in 2025 so far.

And the success didn’t stop on TV.

As soon as The Haunted Palace dropped on Netflix, it jumped straight to #1 on “Today’s Top 10 TV Shows in South Korea”, proving its massive popularity on streaming platforms.

Globally, it also ranked #1 in the TV series category in Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand, showing that international fans are just as hooked.

Fans are loving the unique story, which mixes fantasy, comedy, and creepy mystery. The drama follows Yeori, a shaman who denies her fate, and Kang Cheol I, a mythical Imoogi spirit trapped inside her first love’s body. Together, they face off against a terrifying ghost called Palcheok Gui — who has a dark grudge against the royal family.

Episode 2 added even more excitement, with Kang Cheol I hilariously struggling to live like a normal human after 1,000 years.

At the same time, Yeori starts hearing the voice of Yoon Gap’s spirit and tries to save him.
