• Lee Seung Gi Talks About His 20th Anniversary Album and Why He Needed Cha Eun Woo for His Big Remake

Singer and actor Lee Seung Gi is celebrating his 20th anniversary in the entertainment industry with a special album, and he recently shared some exciting details about it.

On December 10, Lee Seung Gi joined his co-stars from the movie About FamilyKim Yun Seok, Kim Sung Ryung, Kang Hanna, and Park Soo Young—on SBS PowerFM’s Cultwo Show.

During the broadcast, Lee Seung Gi revealed that his new album includes some of his classic songs from the past 20 years.

He explained, "I picked songs that I think are my classics from the 20 years I've been active. Singing them alone wasn't fun, so I asked the seniors and juniors I wanted to work with."

The album features collaborations with various artists, including Lyn, Lee Soo, and Lee Mujin. One of the highlights is the remake of Lee Seung Gi’s debut song, "Because You’re My Woman", featuring ASTRO's Cha Eun Woo.

When the DJ jokingly said that Lee Seung Gi used a "cheat key" by inviting Cha Eun Woo to join the track, Lee Seung Gi laughed and responded, "There are probably more older sisters than me. For this song, I thought it would be better to have Eun Woo join me than to sing it alone".

Meanwhile, Lee Seung Gi's new movie About Family, a family comedy, is set to be released on December 11.

It tells the story of a restaurant owner (played by Kim Yun Seok) whose life is turned upside down when his son (played by Lee Seung Gi), who has become a monk, is visited by unexpected grandchildren.

  • Former Crayon Pop's ChoA Opens Up About Her Struggle with Cervical Cancer: 'I Dream of the Day I Can Have a Drink with My Husband Again'"

ChoA, former member of the girl group Crayon Pop, has bravely shared her ongoing battle with cervical cancer and her emotional journey.

On January 28, ChoA posted a heartfelt update on her social media, explaining her struggles. "I usually laugh, talk, and live my life as usual, but there are moments when I suddenly face a reality that isn’t like before, and it gets tough," she shared.

She went on to say, "Recently, something difficult happened, and in the past, I would have had a drink with my husband to shake it off. I really miss being able to do that."

ChoA admitted that she still can’t fully believe her diagnosis. "When I face the reality I’ve been avoiding, my heart that I’ve built up breaks down," she said. "But the life I’m living now, which I’m still enjoying, is something that someone else might be wishing for. I try to gather my thoughts again with gratitude."

She also expressed hope for the future, saying, "Lately, I dream of a day five years from now when I’ll be declared cancer-free and be able to have a drink with my husband after putting the kids to bed, after all the struggles. It’s been almost two years, so I believe the day I get that clean bill of health will come soon."

ChoA married a businessman in 2021, six years older than her. In October 2023, she revealed her cervical cancer diagnosis, sharing that she had been diagnosed during a routine check-up in her first year of marriage.

Despite everything, ChoA remains hopeful, noting that the cancer was smaller than expected during surgery, and she was able to preserve her fertility—a step closer to her dream of becoming a mother.
