Singer and actress Hyeri has opened up about her diet journey as she prepares for an upcoming award ceremony.

In a video posted to her YouTube channel on December 6, Hyeri shared her plans to lose weight before the event. She said, "There’s an end-of-year award ceremony, so I need to lose weight."

To reach her goal, she revealed that she has been eating only salads and sandwiches but admitted, "I’m so hungry", showing how difficult the diet is for her.

Hyeri also confessed that she’s "addicted to late-night snacks". To satisfy her cravings, she showed the healthy snacks she’s been enjoying—nutritious treats made without flour to curb her hunger without feeling guilty.

Earlier this year, Hyeri appeared on the web variety show Dex's Fridge Interview, where she shared that by cutting out carbs for five months, she lost around 4-5kg.

Fans last saw Hyeri in the movie Victory, which was released in August.

She added, “When you act in a way that keeps people from changing the channel, it means adding just one more expression or emotion. So I told myself, ‘Let’s go all out.’ That helped me let go of some fear.”

Talking about her character Han Geum Joo, she said, “Every actor prepares differently. For me, I think about their job first. Since Geum Joo is a car mechanic, I imagined her moving fast, doing tough work, and having a strong will to win from a young age.”

She continued, “She works with machines and spends a lot of time with men, so I thought maybe she’s good at drinking. I pictured her as someone who might need a drink to relax. That helped me really understand her personality.”
