BTS's Jimin has officially made history by setting a K-pop solo record on Spotify’s U.S. year-end charts, and it’s all thanks to his amazing presence and unstoppable popularity!
For the first time ever, a song by a Korean solo artist made it onto the "Top Tracks of 2024 USA" list on Spotify Wrapped. Jimin's solo second album "MUSE" and its title track "Who" ranked 46th on the chart, making Jimin the first K-pop solo artist to land this achievement. Talk about a game changer!
But that’s not all—Jimin's hit song "Who" topped the Atlanta city chart, and his previous smash "Like Crazy" from his first album "FACE" clinched the top spot in Los Angeles. It’s clear that Jimin’s influence as the most-streamed K-pop artist in the U.S. is undeniable.
Spotify’s Wrapped Mapped, which debuted in 2023, combines streaming data from cities around the world. Last year, "Like Crazy" ranked 2nd in Atlanta, and now, "Who" has hit number one in the city, with "Like Crazy" staying strong at 4th place. This marks Jimin’s second consecutive year making waves in Atlanta—an incredible feat for the artist.
Jimin's dominance didn’t stop there. "Who" also ranked 5th on the San Francisco city chart and 2nd in Toronto, Canada! These results prove just how much Jimin's music has taken over North America.
Now, Jimin can officially call himself the first and only Korean artist to top Spotify’s U.S. city year-end chart, and with two songs reaching number one on separate city charts, he has cemented his "Jimerica" legacy for good.
On top of his chart-topping success, Jimin’s exhibition "The Truth Untold: The Heartfelt Truth" has been an overwhelming success in Korea and is now taking Los Angeles by storm! After launching in LA on November 29, fans have been lining up to experience the exhibition, which will run until December 15 before heading to Tokyo in January.
Jimin is truly unstoppable, and his influence is only continuing to grow!
