On December 4, the group—Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein—appeared on Fuji TV’s popular year-end program, 2024 FNS Music Festival DAY 1. They delivered breathtaking stages for their hit songs "How Sweet" and "Ditto," leaving fans in awe.
For "How Sweet," NewJeans showcased bold, hip styling that perfectly matched the Miami Bass-inspired rhythm of the song. Their carefree energy and unique vibe highlighted their individuality, captivating viewers with every move.
The atmosphere shifted with "Ditto," as the group expressed a more emotional and heartfelt side. Dressed in school-uniform-inspired outfits, they delivered graceful choreography and tender expressions, creating a stage that was both touching and memorable.
This isn’t the first time NewJeans has impressed Japanese fans. They’ve recently performed on other major programs like TV Asahi’s Music Station and Nippon TV’s Best Artist 2024, solidifying their growing influence in Japan.
NewJeans continues to make waves globally. On December 31, they are set to become the first K-pop girl group to perform at Japan’s largest indoor music event, Countdown Japan 24/25.
This year, NewJeans has been incredibly active with their double single "How Sweet" and Japanese debut single "Supernatural," which have dominated charts in both Korea and Japan. Their music remains highly popular on platforms like Apple Music, where they secured 15 tracks on the Top 100: Korea list for 2024. Highlights include "How Sweet" at #3, "ETA" at #8, and "Supernatural" at #10.
