• LE SSERAFIM Achieves K-Pop Girl Group's Highest Ranking with 4th Place on TikTok's 'Top 10 Artists' Global List

K-pop girl group LE SSERAFIM has made an impressive mark on global year-end charts, achieving a major milestone on TikTok.

On December 5th, TikTok revealed its "Year on TikTok 2024" rankings, and LE SSERAFIM (Kim Chaewon, Sakura, Heo Yunjin, Kazuha, Hong Eunchae) claimed the 4th spot globally in the 'Top 10 Artists' category, making it the highest-ever ranking for a K-pop girl group. The group also ranked 3rd in Korea.

The 'Top Artist' ranking is determined by the number of views on videos posted from the artist's official TikTok account. LE SSERAFIM's success can be credited to their hit songs, including "Perfect Night" (October 2023), "EASY," "Smart," and "CRAZY," which helped boost their followers and views on TikTok. They also connected with fans through fun dance challenges, skits featuring their songs, and trendy content that kept them engaging. As of December 5th, their TikTok account had surpassed 11.1 million followers, gaining massive attention.

In addition to their TikTok success, LE SSERAFIM is also making waves on year-end music charts. According to Apple's year-end chart released on December 4th, their song "Perfect Night" ranked 55th on the '2024 Top 100: Global' chart, which ranks songs by global streams between November 1, 2023, and October 31, 2024. LE SSERAFIM is one of only three K-pop artists to make it onto this prestigious list.

LE SSERAFIM also showcased their chart power by placing four songs on Apple's '2024 Top 100: Korea' chart: "Perfect Night" (5th), "EASY" (27th), "Smart" (40th), and "Eve, Psyche, and the Bluebeard's Wife" (98th) from their first full album. Additionally, Huh Yunjin's feature on "Yes or No" with Crush also made it onto the chart at No. 58.

With this remarkable success, LE SSERAFIM is ready to meet their fans at several year-end events, including Fuji TV's FNS Music Festival on December 11, SBS's Gayo Daejeon on December 25, the 9th Asia Artist Awards on December 27, and Japan's NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen on December 31.

Big news has rocked the drama world! Director Lee Byung Hun has officially stepped down from the director’s chair for the upcoming Netflix series Everything Will Come True, starring Kim Woo Bin and Suzy.

Reports from the broadcasting industry on January 27 revealed that Lee Byung Hun left the project last year during filming due to personal reasons.

The production team confirmed the news, stating, “It is true that Director Lee Byung Hun left the project due to personal reasons.” After his exit, PD Ahn Gil Ho, who directed the hit Netflix series The Glory, stepped in to lead the project.

Despite Lee Byung Hun’s departure, Everything Will Come True wrapped up all its filming by the end of October 2024.

Fans are still eagerly awaiting this romantic comedy that tells the story of Genie (played by Kim Woo Bin), who holds the power to control life and death, and Ga Young (played by Suzy), who lacks emotions.

The two characters make three wishes that could change their fate in ways they never imagined—bringing either fortune or punishment.

The buzz around the project has been huge, thanks to its writer Kim Eun Sook, the mastermind behind iconic dramas like Secret Garden, The Heirs, Goblin, Descendants of the Sun, and Mr. Sunshine.
