BTS's Jungkook continues to prove his global superstar status! In 2024, he became the first K-pop solo artist to surpass 3.5 billion cumulative streams on Spotify, making history yet again.
The World Music Awards (WMA), often called the "European Billboard," officially announced this impressive achievement. They shared that Jungkook’s unfiltered streams on Spotify have reached over 3.5 billion, setting him apart as the first K-pop solo artist to hit this milestone this year.
Jungkook’s debut solo album, GOLDEN, has also shattered records on Spotify. It is the first album by an Asian solo artist to reach 4.6 billion unfiltered streams, and it achieved this milestone faster than any other studio album by an Asian artist.
Adding to his list of achievements, Jungkook has earned more than 7.7 billion unfiltered streams across all credits on his Spotify profile. This makes him the fastest K-pop artist—and the first K-pop solo artist—to achieve such a remarkable feat.
His smash hit "Seven" has also set incredible records. The song is now the fastest track by an Asian artist to surpass 2 billion streams on Spotify, joining the platform’s exclusive "2 Billion Club." Jungkook is also the first Asian solo artist with three songs—"Seven," "Left and Right," and "Standing Next to You"—that have each surpassed 1 billion streams on Spotify.
Jungkook’s groundbreaking success continues to make waves worldwide, proving that he is not just a member of BTS but a global icon in his own right. Fans are excited to see what more records he will break in the future!
