On November 28th, ADOR responded to NewJeans' recent press conference where they announced the termination of their exclusive contract.
ADOR stated that the contract with NewJeans is still valid and expressed disappointment over the way the situation was handled.
In their official statement, ADOR shared their regret about the press conference, saying, "We are disappointed that the press conference about the contract termination was held without enough review, even before we received a response to the certified letter."
The company made it clear that they had not violated the contract, and the claim of a breakdown in trust was not enough reason to end the contract. "The exclusive contract between ADOR and NewJeans remains valid," they emphasized.
ADOR also mentioned that they had tried to arrange meetings with the members of NewJeans but were unsuccessful. "We hope that they will now open their hearts, meet with us, and have an honest conversation," the statement read.
Finally, ADOR reiterated their commitment to supporting NewJeans and helping them grow as global stars. They ended the statement by saying, "We will continue to support NewJeans' activities and do our best to help them succeed in the future."
Full Official Statement from ADOR:
"We are disappointed that the press conference regarding the contract termination was planned and conducted without sufficient review, even before receiving a response to the certified letter.
As a party to the exclusive contract, ADOR has not violated the contract, and the claim of a unilateral breakdown of trust does not constitute grounds for termination.
The exclusive contract between ADOR and the NewJeans members remains valid. Therefore, we ask that NewJeans continue working with ADOR as they have been for their future schedules.
We have repeatedly requested meetings with the artists, but they were not successful. We hope they can now open their hearts, meet, and have an honest conversation.
ADOR will continue to support NewJeans' activities and do its best to help them grow as global artists."
