Actor Jung Woo Sung is under fire after a series of Instagram messages from him to ordinary women were leaked online, causing shock among fans.
On November 26th, online communities began sharing posts about the "Jung Woo Sung message leaks."
The first revelation came from a woman who claimed to have exchanged messages with the actor through his official social media account.
In the leaked conversation, Jung Woo Sung reached out with a compliment, saying, "Great job," and when the woman expressed concerns about her account being hacked, he responded, "I happened to see your feed and thought you were someone who enjoys and does well at what they do… I’ve been holding back, but I wanted to greet you."
He later sent a picture of the sky, saying, "The sky looks beautiful," and shared his shooting schedule. After about two days of messaging, Jung Woo Sung asked if he could share his phone number to continue their conversation privately.
Following this first leak, more women came forward with their own stories. One woman posted a screenshot showing a message from Jung Woo Sung that simply said, "You're bad" on her Instagram story.
She claimed that Jung Woo Sung had sent her provocative DMs. Another woman shared a message where the sender, presumed to be Jung Woo Sung, said, "I'm angry" and expressed frustration about not being able to greet her properly.
The actor was quoted saying, "I'm angry that it’s hard to greet you, and I’m angry that I'm just watching your feed."
In response to these SNS leaks, Jung Woo Sung’s agency, Artist Company, issued a statement to Xports News, explaining, "Since this involves personal SNS communication, it is difficult for us to confirm as it is a private matter of the actor. We apologize."
These latest revelations follow recent news about Jung Woo Sung acknowledging a child born from an extramarital relationship with model Moon Ga Bi, as well as rumors about his relationship with a non-celebrity woman.
Leaked photos of the actor engaging in skinship and now these SNS message leaks have fueled further public attention and concern.
Netizens have expressed shock at the growing number of claims, with many pointing out the similar patterns in the messages, saying, "The unsolicited comments on the feed all have the same pattern," "It’s always around 1 or 2 a.m.," and questioning, "Is this really Jung Woo Sung?" as the controversy continues to unfold.
