Actor Joo Ji Hoon has opened up about his experience with alcohol broadcasts and shared his love for biking.

On the November 26th episode of SBS’s variety show "Tteum Nan Myeon," Joo Ji Hoon appeared as a guest alongside actor Yoo Yeon Seok and director Kim Hee Won, who was promoting his new Disney+ series "Lighting Store."

During the show, Yoo Jae Suk asked the guests, “You both haven’t been on variety shows much lately, right?” Joo Ji Hoon responded honestly, saying, “I did go on a YouTube alcohol broadcast before, but I’m not doing that again. I don’t remember anything after drinking. When I drink a lot, I forget everything, and it affects my personal relationships.”

Later, Joo Ji Hoon led the group to a restaurant popular with people in the film industry. He explained, “This place became famous because directors and actors love it. Director Park Chan Wook and actor Kang Dong Won often come here.”

Once seated, Joo Ji Hoon shared his passion for biking. He said, “I went to Jeju Island recently to ride my bike. Actor Park Seong Woong joined me, and we rode for about 10 minutes before stopping at a beachside restaurant. We left the bikes there and spent the rest of the day drinking from 1 p.m. until 12 hours later.” This surprising story caught everyone’s attention.

Yoo Yeon Seok, also a fan of biking, mentioned his own bike model, and Joo Ji Hoon smiled, saying, “I have the same one. You really know your bikes, you have a good sense!”

Joo Ji Hoon continued, “When I’m riding my bike, I forget all my worries. I ride calmly, even on coastal roads, at about 50 km/h. I just enjoy the view.”

After their meal, the conversation shifted to gatherings. Joo Ji Hoon revealed, “We don’t often get together as the ‘82 group. It’s just singer Bi, actor Hyun Bin, and actor Lee Joon Ki. But we don’t meet up much.”

Yoo Yeon Seok shared, “I had a gathering last year with the ‘84 group. It included rapper San E, SG Wannabe’s Kim Yong Jun, singer Seven, webtoon artist Ki An 84, and actors Lee Joon Hyuk and Hyun Bong Sik.”

Yoo Jae Suk joked, “Isn’t Hyun Bong Sik also from ‘84?” making everyone laugh.

BTS’s Jimin is showing no signs of slowing down as a solo artist! His second album, MUSE, and its title track, Who, continue to dominate the U.S. Billboard charts, cementing his place as one of K-pop’s biggest global stars.

In the latest Billboard update (December 28), Jimin’s hit song Who ranked 47th on the Hot 100, marking its impressive 22nd consecutive week on the chart. This makes Who the longest-charting song by a Korean solo artist, surpassing the record previously set by Psy’s Gangnam Style. And it’s not just that—Who is the first K-pop solo song to spend its first 22 weeks in the Hot 100’s Top 60.

But the success doesn’t stop there. Jimin’s album MUSE, which includes Who, also continues to shine. It’s ranked 136th on the Billboard 200, securing its 22nd week on the chart. This makes MUSE the only K-pop album released in 2024 to have stayed on the chart for such a long period.

On top of that, Who has been making waves on several other Billboard charts. On the Streaming Songs chart, it holds the No. 32 spot, marking its 22nd week. This achievement makes it the second-longest-charting K-pop track, just behind Gangnam Style. The song also stays strong on the Global 200 and Global (Excluding U.S.) charts, sitting at No. 25 and No. 30, respectively.

The success of Who is also reflected in MUSE’s performance. The album recently reclaimed the No. 1 spot on the World Albums chart and is currently at No. 2. MUSE has now extended its record as the second-longest-charting K-pop solo album, just behind Jimin’s first solo album, FACE (which charted for 63 weeks).

These accomplishments have earned Jimin praise from U.S. media outlet AsianEAC, which dubbed him a “living legend.” They highlighted that Jimin achieved all these milestones despite having “no promotions in the U.S. during the Christmas season, no high-profile collaborations, and while serving his military duty.”
