• Park Bo Young Takes on Lead Role in Director Kim Sung Hoon's New Drama "Goldland"

    Actress Park Bo Young is keeping busy with her next exciting project.

    According to an exclusive report from StarNews on the 26th, Park Bo Young has been confirmed to star in the new drama Goldland.

    Goldland is set in South Korea’s first domestic casino, named “Goldland,” which was created to help revive a coal mining region hit hard by the closure of the coal industry. The casino becomes the center of the story as it drives the plot forward.

    In the drama, Park Bo Young will play Kim Hee Joo, a woman who has been told all her life that she was "born with no luck." After moving out of her parent's home, she starts working at the Goldland casino and unexpectedly falls in love with a man.

    However, she soon becomes involved in a mysterious case involving an attempted murder and hidden gold bars.

    Throughout the drama, her character will try to protect her love and her money while dealing with the danger surrounding her.

    Goldland will be directed by Kim Sung Hoon, known for his works like My Little Hero, Confidential Assignment, Rampant, and the drama Police Chief 1958. The script is written by Hwang Jo Yoon, who worked on films such as The Wailing, Masquerade, The Drug King, and Rampant.

    The production is by Film Company LeeChang and Studio Dragon, with plans for the show’s release on an OTT platform still in discussions.

    In addition to Goldland, Park Bo Young will also star in the Disney+ original drama Lighting Store, set to premiere on December 4th.
