Actor Jung Woo Sung has been making headlines after confirming he is the biological father of model Moon Ga Bi's child.
On the 22nd, Moon Ga Bi shared the news of her childbirth on social media, saying, "The news came so suddenly, and I wasn’t prepared at all. Instead of fully enjoying the joy of pregnancy or receiving congratulations, I quietly spent most of the pregnancy period surrounded by my family’s blessings." She added, "I wanted to show my child the bright and beautiful world I saw in the past, and for that, I knew I had to find the courage."
Soon after, reports confirmed that Jung Woo Sung is the father of Moon Ga Bi’s child. Jung Woo Sung's agency, Artist Company, confirmed the news, stating, "The child Moon Ga Bi revealed on SNS is indeed Jung Woo Sung’s biological child," and added, "We are discussing the best way to raise the child, and as a father, he will do his best."
Jung Woo Sung and Moon Ga Bi reportedly became close in 2022, with Moon Ga Bi becoming pregnant in June of the following year, and giving birth in March. With the news of Jung Woo Sung’s out-of-wedlock child, some have speculated that he may have been preparing for the potential personal life risks that could arise from this revelation.
Jung Woo Sung gained massive success last year with his film Seoul’s Spring, which became the first film in his career to reach 10 million viewers. The film, depicting a tense period of history in 1979, reached a total of 13 million viewers and was a huge box office success. However, since then, Jung Woo Sung has not signed any advertising contracts.
