BTS's Jungkook is unstoppable! The superstar has set a new record in Japan with his solo album GOLDEN, proving his incredible global impact.
On November 18, Jungkook’s GOLDEN LP (vinyl) debuted at No. 3 on the Oricon Daily Album Ranking with 3,391 copies sold. This achievement makes it the best-selling debut for a K-pop solo artist on the chart’s history.
This isn’t the first time GOLDEN has topped charts. The album previously ranked No. 1 on Billboard Japan's Hot Albums and Download Albums charts.
It also debuted at No. 1 on the Oricon Daily Album Chart with 205,961 copies sold, and later surpassed 250,000 shipments, earning Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ).
Jungkook’s success doesn’t stop with albums. He has achieved seven No. 1 hits on the Oricon Daily Single Chart with tracks like Seven, 3D, Standing Next to You, Never Let Go, Dreamers, Stay Alive, and his collaboration with Charlie Puth, Left and Right. This milestone makes him the first K-pop solo artist to claim seven No. 1 singles on the chart.
Earlier this year, Jungkook’s hit Seven earned him "Song of the Year by Download" in the Asia category at the 38th Japan Gold Disc Awards, marking his second consecutive win.
Jungkook continues to break records and make history, proving why he’s one of the most celebrated solo artists in K-pop today! Fans, are you ready for what Jungkook will achieve next? Let us know in the comments!
