• BTS's Jin Tops MY1PICK 'October Monthly Chart' K-Pop Solo Ranking, 7 Consecutive Months at No. 1

    BTS's Jin has once again proven his popularity by topping the MY1PICK monthly chart.

    Jin claimed the No. 1 spot in the 'October Monthly Chart K-POP (Solo)' category, which was voted on from November 8 to November 13. His victory further demonstrated his exceptional popularity.

    The October monthly chart was calculated by combining 50% of the cumulative monthly votes for October and 50% of the monthly chart votes. The total monthly votes are used for quarterly awards. Jin secured 16.30% of the total cumulative monthly votes and 28.51% of the monthly chart votes, giving him an overwhelming 44.81% of the total votes, thus securing first place.

    This marks Jin's 7th consecutive month at the top of the 'Monthly Chart K-POP (Solo)' category, from April to October.

    Jin has also shown his strong solo power by winning multiple categories in the MY1PICK voting. He achieved 37 consecutive weeks at No. 1 in the 'K-POP Individual Weekly Ranking' from the 5th week of February to the 1st week of November and held the No. 1 spot in the 'K-POP Individual Monthly Ranking' from January to October, maintaining the top position for 10 consecutive months.

    In the 'Theme Voting' category, Jin claimed first place in various polls, such as 'Star You Want to See Throw a Baseball First Pitch,' 'December Birthday Support,' 'Best Cooking Genius Idol,' 'Star Who Seems Like a Filial Son/Daughter,' 'Star Who Feels Like Hometown,' 'Star Who Will Make You Fall at First Sight,' and 'Star with National Representative Visuals,' further solidifying his image as an absolute powerhouse.

    Meanwhile, Jin captured worldwide attention with the release of his first solo album Happy on November 15, featuring six songs across various genres with a band sound.

    On December 16 and 17, Jin will hold a fan showcase, 'Jin 'Happy' Special Stage,' at Jangchung Gymnasium in Seoul, where he will interact with fans.

    With his excellent visuals and witty hosting, Jin continues to win the hearts of fans while showcasing his skills as a talented vocalist with a stable live performance.

    The When Life Gives You Tangerines cast melted fans’ hearts once again — this time off-screen!

    On April 15, the VIP premiere of the film Yadang took place at Megabox COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul, and it quickly turned into a Poksak reunion.

    The event was already buzzing with big names like Uhm Tae Woong (who made his first appearance in 8 years), Lee Min Ho, Ha Ji Won, Lee Joo Young, Hyeri, Lee Yu Bi, Kim Sung Kyun, and even Single’s Inferno 4's Lee Si An.

    But the surprise appearance of severalWhen Life Gives You Tangerines cast members made fans super emotional.

    IU, who played Gwansik’s daughter Geum Myeong in the Netflix series, was spotted quietly entering the theater wearing a mask. A fan who noticed her shared a photo, writing, “Poksak daughter Geum Myeong is here!”

    Kim Seon Ho also showed up and quickly got attention. Fans recognized him despite the mask and commented, “Chung Seop is here too!” and “Park Hae Joon’s son-in-law came!” Kim Seon Ho made a special appearance in the series as Geum Myeong’s husband.

    Kang Yoo Seok, who played Eun Myeong Yi (Gwansik’s son), also came to support his on-screen dad. Fans left sweet comments like “The son is so thoughtful!”

    And of course, Choi Dae Hoon — better known as “Hak Ssi Ahjussi” — made fans smile with his bright energy. People couldn’t stop talking about him, saying things like “He came to see his in-laws’ movie,” and “The whole When Life Gives You Tangerines family is here!”

    Before the event, Park Hae Joon shared in an interview with Xports News that he wasn’t sure who would show up, saying, “Everyone’s really busy, so it depends on the situation. But I’d be really happy if we could meet again after a long time.”

    Well, they did meet again — and fans couldn’t be happier.

    In Poksak, Park Hae Joon played the loving father Gwansik, but in Yadang, he takes on a much tougher role as a drug squad detective who never gives up on catching criminals. His transformation is already gaining attention from fans eager to see him in a new light.

    Meanwhile, Yadang officially hit theaters on April 16.
