  • Park Bo Gum’s Genuine Personality Shines Again, Even IU Admits It Makes Her Frustrated — Here's Why

Actor Park Bo Gum’s sincerity and kindness once again became a hot topic—this time, even IU admitted his personality makes her feel “frustrated” in the best way possible!

On March 14, KBS2’s The Seasons – Park Bo Gum’s Cantabile aired its first episode, marking Park Bo Gum’s long-awaited return as an MC.

Since it was the show’s premiere, Park Bo Gum went all out—showcasing his talents by singing, dancing, and sharing special moments with his guests.

The episode featured a surprise visit from his long-time friends Kwak Dong Yeon, Kim Yoo Jung, and Jinyoung, who co-starred with him in Love in the Moonlight.

The three actors introduced themselves in a hilarious yet heartwarming way:
Kim Yoo Jung: “I’m the vestibular system that keeps Bo Gum oppa balanced when he feels dizzy.”
Jinyoung: “I’m the lungs that help Bo Gum hyung breathe through everything.”
Kwak Dong Yeon: “I’m the strong pillar—his supportive back muscles.”

Kim Yoo Jung jokingly predicted, “I think Bo Gum oppa is going to cry every week on this show.”

Kwak Dong Yeon added, “He cried so much during rehearsal that the wooden floor absorbed all the moisture—we might have to replace it.” ?

Park Bo Gum explained, “Seeing my dear friends take time out of their crazy schedules to support me… I could feel their encouragement just by looking at them, and I suddenly teared up.”

Jinyoung then revealed, “I actually had a script reading today, so I originally couldn’t come. But when the schedule got pushed back, I immediately called Bo Gum to say I’d be there.”

To return the love, the three actors secretly prepared a special surprise performance for Park Bo Gum. They sang a heartfelt song just for him, making the audience cheer.

Kwak Dong Yeon confessed, “We didn’t even practice it out loud during rehearsals because we wanted to keep it a surprise.”

Later in the show, former The Seasons MC Lee Young Ji was spotted in the audience, cheering loudly for Park Bo Gum.

Not one to miss out on fun, she suddenly jumped onto the stage and convinced him to do aespa’s Supernova dance challenge.

With a quick crash course in dancing, Park Bo Gum nailed the moves, drawing huge reactions from the audience!

Meanwhile, IU recently praised Park Bo Gum on Salon Drip 2, saying:
“He’s both hardworking and kind. If you combine those two things, you get Park Bo Gum.”

She continued, “The source of all his kindness is his insane stamina. No matter how exhausted he is, he still manages to be considerate of others. It actually makes me mad! There was a really difficult scene once, and even when he was drained, he told the director, ‘I could’ve done better, I’m so sorry.’ Watching that made me think, ‘Why am I not that kind of person?’ and it frustrated me.”

Park Bo Gum’s heartwarming personality and dedication to his craft continue to inspire both colleagues and fans alike.
