• BTS V's "Love Me Again" Hits 950 Million Streams on Spotify

BTS's V continues to shine as his solo track "Love Me Again" has surpassed 950 million streams on Spotify, showcasing its global appeal.

As part of his first solo album "Layover", "Love Me Again" reached this impressive milestone on November 19, solidifying its status as a fan favorite on the world’s largest streaming platform.

The track stands out as the first K-pop B-side song to exceed 900 million streams and has remained on Spotify's global chart for a record-breaking 465 days—longer than any other B-side in history.

The music video also made waves, becoming the first by a K-pop artist to top the UK's TIDAL Top Video chart. It has claimed #1 spots across other charts, including iTunes Music Video, Apple Music Video’s K-pop category, and YouTube Music Video rankings.

"Love Me Again" blends 1970s soul sounds with gospel and jazz influences, creating a rich R&B vibe. V's rhythmic yet emotive vocals bring a unique flavor rarely seen in K-pop, making the track a standout in its genre.

The song has been widely praised, with the U.S. music publication Consequence of Sound naming it the "Most Jaw-Dropping Single" in their 2023 K-Pop Yearbook.

Additionally, it became the first Asian solo album to sell over 100,000 units for every song in the U.S. The album topped iTunes album charts in 110 countries and achieved the highest ranking among albums released after 2020.

British music magazine NME described V’s debut album as a "captivating masterpiece" that prioritizes artistry over commercial trends. They praised its blend of classic sounds with modern twists and noted, “The long wait was absolutely worth it.”

As an R&B-centric project, "Layover" reflects V’s bold musical choices, allowing him to secure artistic recognition while appealing to a broad audience. With its success, V has solidified his position as a leading solo artist in the global music scene.
