• UP10TION's Sunyoul Reveals Funny Story About Proving His Identity at a Bank

UP10TION member Sunyoul recently shared a hilarious story about how he had to reveal his idol status to a bank employee.

On the November 17th episode of MBC’s variety show King of Masked Singer (Episode 473), masked singers performed solo stages to challenge reigning champion “Carnival.” During the show, Sunyoul, performing as “It’s You,” lost in Round 2 and revealed his identity.

After his unmasking, Sunyoul opened up about a time his soft, high-pitched voice caused some confusion.

He said, “When I handle banking tasks over the phone, they always verify my identity. My information clearly shows that I’m male, but after hearing my voice, they’d tell me, ‘You don’t sound like the person listed here. Are you sure you’re not a woman?’”

Despite answering their security questions correctly, the staff remained skeptical. Sunyoul eventually had to explain, “This was the first and only time I said, ‘I’m Sunyoul from UP10TION. If you search online, you’ll find me."

He added, "My voice might sound like a woman’s, but it’s me!’” Only then did they believe him, leaving Sunyoul feeling embarrassed but amused.

His candid story had the audience laughing, showcasing his down-to-earth charm.
