• BTS's V's "Rainy Days" Hits 300 Million Streams on Spotify

BTS's V continues to shine as his song "Rainy Days" surpasses 300 million streams on Spotify, marking another huge milestone in his solo career.

The track, from V's solo album Layover, reached the 300 million stream mark on November 13th, cementing its popularity. With this achievement, V now holds the record for six songs on his Spotify profile that have surpassed 300 million streams. Among K-pop solo artists, he is one of only two to reach this milestone with six tracks.

"Rainy Days" is an alternative pop-R&B song with a mix of vintage percussion and modern drum beats. Its unique sound perfectly complements V's emotional and delicate vocals, creating a distinct and soothing atmosphere.

The song has also earned praise from the U.S. music magazine Rolling Stone, which ranked it number 58 on their 2023 Best Songs 100 list. This made "Rainy Days" the highest-ranked solo track from a K-pop artist on the list. Rolling Stone highlighted V’s skillful use of his baritone, noting the way he sang gently over a melancholic piano and laid-back beat, as if walking through a cloudy sky.

The British music magazine NME also praised "Rainy Days," describing it as evoking the feeling of being in a jazz bar with dim lights. They admired V’s ability to blend classic and modern sounds, bringing out a timeless emotional depth in the track.

Since its release, "Rainy Days" topped iTunes charts in the U.S., Europe, and 103 countries, including the eight largest music markets. It also claimed the number one spot on Japan's Oricon Daily Digital Single Chart.

V’s other popular tracks, like "Love Me Again" with 940 million streams, "Slow Dancing" with 444.9 million, and "Christmas Tree" with 421.75 million, continue to show his strong presence on Spotify.
