• NewJeans Threatens to Terminate Contract with ADOR Over Unresolved Issues

On November 13th, NewJeans made an official move by sending a notice to their agency, ADOR, warning that they would terminate their exclusive contract if their demands for corrections were not addressed.

The notice, which was signed by all five members—Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein—stated that ADOR had 14 days to correct the violations in their contract.

Although the specific demands were not revealed, NewJeans pointed to a troubling statement made by HYBE, the parent company of ADOR.

In the notice, they mentioned an internal report from HYBE, which suggested that the company wanted to "discard NewJeans and start fresh."

This comment, uncovered during a National Assembly audit, reportedly included the phrase, “We’ve been bothered for days by 'New' (referring to NewJeans), and if we discard New, we can start fresh.”

The members made it clear that ADOR, as their management company, needed to take necessary actions regarding this issue.

Along with their demand for corrections, NewJeans also addressed rumors that have been circulating about their families and acquaintances.

The group firmly stated, “NewJeans has no connection to these rumors” and warned that they would take strong action against anyone spreading false information aimed at defaming them.

The notice concluded with a clear message: "If ADOR did not address their demands, NewJeans would move forward with ending their exclusive contract."
