Actress Kim Minju will be joining Seo Kang Joon in the upcoming MBC drama Undercover High School, where she will play his friend.
According to her agency, Management Soup, Kim Minju has been cast in the comedic action drama Undercover High School (written by Lim Young Bin, directed by Choi Jung In), which is set to air on Fridays and Saturdays.
The drama follows National Intelligence Service agent Jeong Hae Seong (played by Seo Kang Joon), who goes undercover as a high school student to investigate missing gold bars from the reign of Emperor Gojong. The series promises a mix of comedy and action as Jeong navigates the chaos of living a double life as both a teenager and a spy.
Kim Minju will play Lee Ye Na, the president of the student council at the prestigious Byungmun High School. Ye Na is the only daughter of the school's chairman, Seo Myung Ju (played by Kim Shin Rok). With her privileged status, she excels in everything, from academics to popularity, and is considered the "queen" of the school. However, behind the facade, she struggles to meet the high expectations of her tough mother.
Kim Minju has been gaining attention for her strong performances in dramas like The Forbidden Marriage and Connection. She also impressed audiences with her delicate acting in her first lead role in the recently released film Cheongseol, which premiered on November 6th.
Undercover High School is set to premiere in 2025, and fans are already excited to see Kim Minju’s new role alongside Seo Kang Joon.
